Al Sharpton: Get “Serious,” If Government Comes to Disarm You It Has Drones: Second Amendment Will Not Help You

Sharpton also said, “people do not have the right to unregulated rights.” It’s a “regulated” right to board an airplane only after showing I.D., he points out. When it comes to voter I.D. however, it’s an unnecessary regulation because there is no voter fraud, never mind that most of us boarding airplanes are not terrorists. Our voting rights are far more sacred than our entry onto airplanes, as the only job the government has is to keep us safe, and without free and fair elections, government can take away our voting rights. Just sayin’…

“First of all, if the government were to come to disarm you, you would not be able to use an automatic weapon to defend yourself. Let’s be serious. We’re in a world of drones now so the Second Amendment would not help you in that area. It is absurd to try to cite that.”

“People do not have the right to unregulated rights in this country,” Sharpton continued. “And I think that for those that use the Second Amendment [they] are conceding that they have no argument on why you need a magazine with 100 rounds of ammunition or 30 rounds of ammunition.” Source: Daily Caller

These comments were made a little more than a year ago during the controversy over how many rounds a magazine can hold. In the same interview, the head of the National Urban League, Marc Morial, said “the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are not absolutes.”

“The Constitution and the Bill of Rights are not absolute. One cannot yell fire in a crowded theater and hide behind the First Amendment,” said Morial

April 2014:

Reuters is reporting that B. Hussein Obama has spent the week commemorating progress in the Civil Rights Movement. No he hasn’t. He’s been politicking [with Sharpton] in an election year, trying to stir up his base by labeling his opponents as racists, against him and his policies, and by extension, the minority citizen voters.

They’ve just reported how Obama “sharply criticized Republicans for leading efforts in some parts of the country to prevent citizens from voting.” The fact that he criticized them is factual, but they are presenting his argument as truthful, which it is not. They are thereby helping to perpetuate the false narrative.

Republicans aren’t trying to keep any citizens from voting. They are merely trying to make sure that only citizens vote. That is as it should be. Source: The Gop Daily Dose

Really, getting serious here, We the People are our only protection. We’ve seen that our elected officials will not protect us, so we go to the ballot box and pray.

He should realize he will be one of the first to get taken out!

The only person Al Sharpton cares about is Al Sharpton. And how much money he can extort from another white person.

  • Some Rabbit

I’ve heard this line of anti-second amendment reasoning before. The government got tanks, what good is having a puny gun.

So what then is their alternative? Roll over and surrender to tyranny? Were the Jews of the Warsaw ghetto chumps for trying to resist the Nazis? Maybe they should’ve held peaceful protest vigils while holding hands and singing “We Shall Overcome.”

The Democrat party depends on voter fraud. It is probable that in the last 100 years the Democrats have won every close election, local and national, by voter fraud. Doesn’t it seem that the democrats doth protest too much when it comes to voter ID? Half of the effort of the “justice” department consists of protecting the existing voter fraud against reform (the other half consists of providing special benefits to specific classes of citizens).

“they have no argument on why you need a magazine with 100 rounds of ammunition or 30 rounds of ammunition.”

My argument: Because the government is at least partially made up of people like Sharpton, who represent a threat to our rights.

My answer is always, ‘the exercise of an unalienable Right is not subject to YOUR, or anyone else’s, approval.’ 🙂

  • Rebecca

Not all people have the right to unregulated rights, just the ones Sharpton and Obama pick and choose. Keep you guns people.

They are two peas in a pod. Their voters are low information voters who believe their lies because they hear them over and over. Their money donors know they are liars and approve of it so they can keep their power. Let us hope we can take over the senate in November.

Don’t bother with owning firearms because the Government will Predator Drone strike you with a Hellfire missile? I’m not sure if that statement helps his case.

  • Da_Bunny

They can’t stop Al Qaeda, they can’t stop the Cartels, they can’t stop drug smugglers, they can’t secure the border, but they can confiscate over 100 million firearms? LMAO They can’t even disarm gangs in Chicago.

I think we may be expecting too much from some people. They – and I’m sure it’s through no fault of their own – have lost that vital, essential connection between brain and mouth. We must not make fun of those who just can’t help it…. 😉

  • Al’s not too Sharp.

All Al has to do to understand how things would go is to review a little skirmish known as Vietnam…

► Our military had the manpower, the planes, the tanks, the bombs, the chemical weapons.
► North Vietnam had the booby traps, the ambushes, the Guerrilla warfare, a copy of Sun Tzu’s The Art of War, and patience.

As the body bags mounted, the resolve of the American people diminished. And once the politicians lose the will of the people, the war is soon over.

  • Paul

No, you can’t yell fire in a crowded theatre because the ensuing chaos would be a violation of other’s rights to safety and security. Lawful possession of a weapon is a benign act that has no impact on the general public.
My right to defend myself and my family is inviolate and should not be infringed upon because liberals haven’t quite figured out that criminals will always have weapons because criminals, by definition, do not obey the law. All anti-gun laws have done in the States that brought them into being is to create millions of potential victims with the stroke of a pen.
Remember, all of America’s gun tragedies have happened in so-called “gun free zones”.
