Here’s some recent information about the recent history of Kyrgyzstan from the CIA World Factbook:

Kyrgyzstan became a Soviet republic in 1936 and achieved independence in 1991 when the USSR dissolved. Nationwide demonstrations in the spring of 2005 resulted in the ouster of President Askar AKAEV, who had run the country since 1990. Former prime minister Kurmanbek BAKIEV overwhelmingly won the presidential election in the summer of 2005. Over the next few years, he manipulated the parliament to accrue new powers for the presidency. In July 2009, after months of harassment against his opponents and media critics, BAKIEV won re-election in a presidential campaign that the international community deemed flawed. In April 2010, violent protests in Bishkek led to the collapse of the BAKIEV regime and his eventual fleeing to Minsk, Belarus. His successor, Roza OTUNBAEVA, served as transitional president until Almazbek ATAMBAEV was inaugurated in December 2011, marking the first peaceful transfer of presidential power in independent Kyrgyzstan’s history. Continuing concerns include: the trajectory of democratization, endemic corruption, poor interethnic relations, and terrorism.

So it brings up a question. Please anyone what is going on. For the past 6 months or so all youtube videos that are linked by blogs don’t work. That is they start up and run for a few seconds but then the video freezes and the audio goes on. You have to go directly to youtube to see it because it won’t play as linked. I suspect this is youtubes hack to force people to their site but it seems so lame I can’t imagine they would do it. Anyone now what the problem is?

    • GoneWithTheWind, I just played it here and it played all the way through with perfect audio. I don’t what’s going on that it didn’t play for you. I’ll try a few more on my site to see if anything is amiss. Thanks for telling me.

I don’t think it’s your site. It happens to all sites with imbedded videos from youtube. Not 100% of the time ut about 90-95% of the time. It just locks up the video usually between 14-20 seconds in and the audio keeps going. Maybe I’m being paranoid to think Youtube is doing it to force you to their site to view video. But I cannot find an answer and I was hoping at least that others are experiencing it. If not then I’m really at a loss to why it happens.
