The Tulsa mayoral race is this Tuesday, November 12th. In this race, there is one big difference between the two candidates, Democrat and former Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor and Republican incumbent Dewey Bartlett, Jr. Neither are fiscal conservatives, but Kathy Taylor will continue supporting and furthering Barack Obama’s agenda. Dewey Bartlett will not.
“Kathy Taylor is an attorney and she is careful not to tell direct lies but she and her campaign are loose with the truth,” said Tulsa Beacon Publisher Charles Biggs. “The Tulsa Beacon has never endorsed her. She is a ruthless politician with sights set on higher office. She is a tax-and-spend progressive who wouldn’t stand a chance in this election if she had not loaned her campaign hundreds of thousands of dollars.
“We don’t appreciate her misrepresentation of the stance of the Tulsa Beacon and are confident Tulsa voters will see through this deception and not vote for Kathy Taylor.”
Oklahoma’s U.S. Senators Jim Inhofe and Tom Coburn support Bartlett. Oklahoma U.S. Congressman Jim Bridenstine supports Dewey Bartlett. Governor Mary Fallin supports Dewey Bartlett.
If you are an Independent, Libertarian or a Republican, you likely know that the Tulsa World endorsed Taylor…of course they did, and that should be a logical reason to vote for Bartlett.
Taylor’s contributions are overwhelmingly directed to Democrat candidates and party organizations, including Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Chris Coons, Elizabeth Warren, the DNC Services Corp, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, and the Democratic Party of Oklahoma. She has been generous in support of pro-abortion, left-wing control of the federal government. You don’t have to like Bartlett, but he isn’t Kathy Taylor.
Bartlett is concerned about ObamaCare, predicts devastating outcomes to Tulsa businesses and expressed those concerns to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. Read it here.
Kathy Taylor was a signatory to Mayors Against Illegal Guns from her first term in 2007 until 2009 when her name disappears as she left office. This letter from the NRA Political Victory Fund gives Bartlett an “A” rating and the endorsement of the NRA, and further says:
We are very concerned that one of your opponents and predecessor, Kathy Taylor, as mayor was a member and supporter of a national anti-gun group, “Mayors Against Illegal Guns,” founded and funded by extremist New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.”
You have two choices for Tulsa mayor, neither attractive: Democrat Kathy Taylor or Republican incumbent Dewey Bartlett, Jr. If you stay home, you’ve voted for Taylor. Dewey Bartlett is not Kathy Taylor – that’s the issue and the reason to vote for Dewey Bartlett.
