When I first wrote about Karmel Allison, the young pregnant woman with diabetes nearly fainting in the Rose Garden as she stood behind Barack Obama, directly in the camera’s eye, for his yet-another-speech on ObamaCare, I said I had no problem believing that she could have been near fainting. If you’ve ever been pregnant without diabetes, you know what standing for at least 25 minutes in the sun can do to you. Mrs. Allison did well to make it as long as she did, HOWEVER, Lady Patriots did some zooming-in and closely watched the video (below).
My first reaction before finishing the entire video was that the woman to your left, the ‘nudger,’ standing next to Karmel, was communicating with, perhaps, Karmel’s husband who we know was in the audience, but when you see what happens next, it is odd. Why do you nudge the person, and fail to look at the person you know is in trouble, about to go down – presumably someone you don’t know but have the decency to try to help by holding her hand and shoring her up with an arm around her waist? Not even a glance when things get critical? She appears to look to away from Obama and Karmel when he begins to turn around, then at the ground for a couple of beats, before she then looks at The One and smiles. Why the nudge? Why the nudge?
To tell the truth, the very first time I watched the video, I thought the ‘nudger’ might have nudged The One (as in, okay, we’re ready’). Maybe the ‘nudger’ and Karmel knew each other before arriving at the White House?
Two caveats, when the woman standing two over from Karmel spoke to the “nudging” woman, I don’t think she was giving directions. She seemed to notice Karmel was unsteady and maybe said something to the ‘nudger,’ but then, I don’t really know. Another observation, when Obama begins to turn around so quickly (first photo) he seems to first look up (second photo), maybe at the man behind Karmel who may have said something we couldn’t hear. You’ll see in the video that he was helping to stabilize Karmel. Again, I don’t know. The ‘nudger’ is still strange.
The second video is a reminder of all the fainting episodes in Obama’s time on-the-way-to and in the White House.
