Wayne Terrial Davis was on the 106th Floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001 attending a meeting at Windows on the World when American Airlines Flight 11 hit the tower at 8:46 a.m. EDT. By about 9:40 a.m. all communication with the famous restaurant stopped. No one on the on the 106th floor survived. Wayne was a senior sales engineer for Callixa Corp, a software company.
Mr. Davis served in the U.S. Army for 8 years with a tour on the front lines in Desert Storm. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Systems from the University of Maryland just 4 days before he died. In the aftermath of the attacks, his wife accepted his degree for him.
Mrs Davis tells us that her husband loved Willie Nelson, Jim Croce, Jethro Tull, the Beatles, the U.S., the Army, history, sweet tea and cooking. He loved to sing and laugh, and

He had plans to retire from the Army and teach U.S. history.
Wayne was a native of Edmond, Oklahoma graduating Edmond Memorial High School in 1989. He and his family lived in Ft. Meade, Maryland and were in the process of moving to Virginia.
Wayne was survived by his wife, Tanya, and three children, Matthew, Gabrielle, and Malachai, ages 9, 2 and 10 months respectively, and his Mother Noverta Davis.
