Oklahoma lost six deeply loved men and one woman to the attacks on September 11, 2001. Three were in the Pentagon, two in the North Tower of the World Trade Center and two in the South Tower. Project 2996 has tributes for most of them, which I have linked below.
David Shelby Berry was 43 years old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was on the 89th floor of the South Tower. Mr. Berry was the vice president and Director of Research at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Inc. Read more here.
Wayne Terrial Davis was 29 years old from Edmond, Oklahoma. He was on the 106th floor of the North World Trade Tower. Read more here.
Ron Milam, Jr., Army Major, was 33 years old from Muskogee. He was assistant to the Secretary of the Army at the Pentagon. Read more here.
Brian Anthony Moss, Navy petty Officer, was 34 years old, from Sperry, Oklahoma. He died in the attack on the Pentagon. Moss “helped to lay to rest those who died from the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole on October 12, 2008. At one time a trainer for the Naval Color Guard, the Navy dedicated it’s Arlington training center in his name. Read more here.
David Harlow Rice was 31 years old from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was a bond investor in New York. His brother is Oklahoma Senator Andrew Rice, 46th District. Read more here.
Chin Sun Pak Wells, Army Spc., (also known as ‘Sunny’) was 24 years old from Lawton, Oklahoma. She worked in the Pentagon. Read more here.
