No matter what you think we know about the bombing of the Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City in 1995, U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups acknowledged that the government has not complied with Freedom of Information Act request for specific tapes of the Murrah, surrounding buildings and the dash-cam of the police traffic stop of Timothy McVeigh 90 minutes after the bombing. If the requested tapes are ever released there are hopes they will show a bombing suspect or suspects who remain(s) unidentified or perhaps one has been identified as Hussain al-Hussaini. Read more about that connection below. See a video below tying Terry Nichols to an agent of Saddam Hussein.
The latest in the case the Government tried to get dismissed:
U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups denied the government’s motion to dismiss the case Monday and ordered both sides to prepare for a bench trial. He scheduled a status hearing for Nov. 21, at which a trial date will be set.
“This is a significant ruling,” said Jesse Trentadue, who has spent years trying to get the tapes. “There’s no doubt that evidence exists. The question then becomes why can’t you find it. The obvious answer is you don’t want to find it.” Source: Deseret News
Trentadau has a particular interest in the tapes. His brother Kenneth was a convicted bank robber. Jesse Trentadue suspects Kenneth was mistaken for a bombing suspect and was beaten to death during a police interrogation in 1995.
Others suspects have been widely speculated about, initially due to the story of Manuel Acosta, an eye-witness that day who allegedly saw two Middle Eastern men, Arabs, standing on each side of the street in front of the Murrah Building engaged in some kind of hand signals, and others also there confirming the story of the two men to police.
Acosta was standing close enough to see gray hairs in the beard of one of the alleged Arabs. The two men began moving. He witnessed them quickly jumping into a later model Chevrolet, an expensive shiny brown pickup truck which then sped away.
Acosta was focused on the shiny brown pickup because he was looking for construction work and believed the pickup looked like the trucks construction foremen or managers use when they are hiring for the day. He was hopeful when he spotted the truck. It wasn’t just a casual sighting. Five minutes after the pickup left, according to Acosta, the building blew.
Within two hours, using a translator at the scene of the devastation, Mr. Acosta told police what he saw. He was in Oklahoma City illegally and risked deportation to tell the story. The agents requested that he stay in the U.S. to appear before a Grand Jury, but he was never subpoenaed and he never heard from authorities again. He stayed here another year, washing dishes for a living, and then returned to Mexico.
Police apparently took Acosta’s information seriously. Jayna Davis an investigative journalist who wrote the book The Third Terrorist – The Middle Eastern Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing said reporters were monitoring police scanners. The following bulletin was “repeatedly broadcast the morning of April 19, 1995:”
“Be on the lookout for a late model, almost new, Chevrolet full-size pick-up, will be brown in color with tinted windows and smoke-colored bug deflector on the front of pickup. Middle Eastern male, twenty-five to twenty-eight years of age, six feet tall, athletic build, dark hair and a beard, dark hair and a bear, break…”
The dispatch was authorized by the FBI according to a police officer.
That afternoon, the information was pulled: “Just pull it!” the federal agent barked through the phone line. The conversation ended. Source: Jayna Davis
Oklahoma blogger Bob McCarty has extensive coverage of the bombing. Here’s a snippet from his April 6, 2011 post:
In the CPI piece, writers John Solomon and Aaron Mehta report the memo reveals that the bureau treated a senior ABC News journalist as a potential confidential informant in the 1990s, pumping the reporter to ascertain the source of a sensational but uncorroborated tip that the network had obtained during its early coverage of the Oklahoma City bombing:
“The journalist “advised that a source within the Saudi Arabian Intelligence Service advised that the Oklahoma City bombing was sponsored by the Iraqi Special Services who contracted seven (7) former Afghani Freedom Fighters out of Pakistan,” an April 17, 1996 FBI memo states, recounting the then-ABC journalist’s interview with FBI agents a year earlier on the evening of the April 19, 1995 bombing. (The Iraqi connection, of course, never materialized.)”
In her The New York Times Best Seller book, Davis not only connects the dots between the OKC Bombing and the Iraqi intelligence service, but she identifies Hussain Al-Hussaini as the third terrorist (a.k.a., “John Doe 2″) and offers extensive evidence to support her claim. Read more at Bob McCarty
Will the release of new tapes show the men Acosta said he saw or the man exiting the Ryder truck where the bomb was stashed, seen by a victim who lost her leg, her mother and her two children in the blast?
In the video below, you’ll hear Jayna Davis say that she took evidence to the FBI of Terry Nichols’ connection to Hussaini, a Saddam Hussein agent. The FBI right-out refused to take the evidence because they would have to disclose it to the Defense team and their case was already rock-solid. The video claims that in court the FBI denied a John Doe 2 existed. Then in May 2005 Terry Nichols confessed that indeed “John Doe 2 exists. The confession was discovered in 2011 when and FBI document was declassified. Nichols is said to have not named John Doe 2 for fear of his family’s safety. One month later, Nichols met with an unnamed Congressman with FBI present and again confessed saying the bombing was a “Middle Eastern operation.” The Congressman is now retired Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA-48th). The meeting took place in a Colorado prison cell. While the FBI was present they forbid tapings of “suspects” but Nichols was no longer a suspect, he was convicted and sentenced to life in prison with no parole.
Upon exiting the meeting, Rohrabacher phoned me and candidly recounted the details of Nichols’ stunning disclosures. To insure accuracy, I taped the conversation. Rohrabacher described the prisoner as apprehensive and hesitant to name the infamous third terrorist, but he offered not-so-subtle hints of foreign complicity in a crime that the government has classified as domestically inspired. When Rohrabacher bluntly asked Nichols to assess the plausibility of the multiple eyewitness sightings placing Timothy McVeigh in the presence of Iraqi soldiers in Oklahoma City, Nichols shockingly conceded that the central theory presented in my 2004 book,The Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing, “could be correct.”
If the Department of Justice had not ignored the evidence indicating direct Middle Eastern involvement in the 1995 bombing it is entirely possible the Twin Towers would still be standing. ~ David P. Schippers, Chief Impeachment Prosecutor for trial of President Bill Clinton
“What they (the FBI) did was unconscionable. The Bureau needed to look into this Middle East network here in Oklahoma. City. If they had, maybe they would have come upon the network behind the September 11 attacks” ~ Dan Vogel FBI Special Agent
I haven’t followed the bombings closely. I will never forget the morning and where I was at the time the news broke – on my way to work and pulling through a drive-in for breakfast. It seemed impossible this could happen in Oklahoma and certainly not just the 1-1/2 hour drive up the pike that I had made so many times.
At the time I began blogging, the massive amounts of information seemed impossible to sort through and I didn’t have a clue what I was doing anyway (was simply trying to learn some html), but in this short post I have to ask, with the quotes above, and with Terry Nichols’ confessions with full FBI knowledge, how is this connection, likely Iraqi, continued to be swept under the rug of political-correctness-politics?
FBI/authorities, could heal a lot of hearts if they showed how they disproved what you hear and read here (I cannot vouch for this site). Listen to the video at 6:45-mins-in that talks about the unmatched leg, but watch the video below first.
