  • Do you think the Egyptisn people understand “We the people” just a little bit better than than the American people?

    • Spell check ? Egyptian not Egyptisn

    • I believe many in the so-called Arab Spring understood. Many of the are probably dead today. At heart, people are the same everywhere – yearning to be truly free. What they do not understand is that they must leave an Islamic country to find that freedom.

      • Ref:”What they do not understand is that they must leave an Islamic country to find that freedom.”

        You got that right!!!

Ref:”At heart, people are the same everywhere – yearning to be truly free.”
Yes, I agree. Back in my college days (UTSA) I met several Muslim students while sitting around the skylight study area and in conversation discovered that many Muslims (especially the women) had what seemed to be a respit from their own country…almost as if they did not want to return. Apparently some of the student’s families are held hostage until the student returns…maybe ‘hostage’ is too strong a word but when one student said that her family was threatened if she did not return I took it to mean just that; hostage! Apparently family ties are very strong knowing they have to give up the temporary freedom they have experienced while in ‘student’ status.
