Sunday Worship Music: The One Who Saves by Hillsong United

Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia is home to Hillside United band. The word “united” comes from uniting the world in knowledge and worship through song.

Carl Middleton sent the link to the video and when you listen or read the lyrics below you’ll understand why he said “the truth of His love just covers me.” I’m adding this beautiful praise song to my collection. Give praise for the truth. See the video below.

The One Who Saves

Come join the song, lift your voice
As heaven and earth give praise
Fall to your knees, at the feet
Of the Son of The One True God
Turn from old ways, lift your eyes
For the kingdom of God is here
Open your heart, offer all
For Jesus Christ is here
Oh now

We have found our hope
We have found our peace
We have found our rest
In the One who Loves
He will light the way
He will lead us home
As we offer all
To the One who saves us

Call on the Name, that is hope
Jesus the Son of God
Lord over all, He is good
And His mercy endures
Always

His love endures
Forever His love endures
Forever His love endures
Forever and ever

Not only does Carl share inspirational music like The One Who Saves, he writes a column every week on his teaching blog, GOD’S ANSWER is always Jesus. This week Carl explores how Abraham and Paul were similar, posits that “faith” and “belief” are not the same thing. This led me to thinking about how “believing God” changed humanity, because Abraham “staggered not at the promise” of God. Because Abraham believed is a huge subject, so for now I’ll skip to Abraham and Sarah’s son Isaac, born of the promise of a son, Isaac, because Abraham “believed.” Because of Isaac, Jacob had twelve sons who became the heads of the Twelve Tribes of Israel, and following the lineage, because Abraham believed, came King David from whose house came Jesus of Nazareth.

Carl’s column is not about lineage but about the similarities of Abraham and the Apostle Paul.

Romans 4:19-21 … “And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: he staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strongin faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what He had promised, He was able also to perform.”

Read They Simply Believed here.

Most of us have heard all the teaching on faith we can take. “Strong in faith. Great faith. Oh ye of little faith.” I’ve heard it all, so have you. ~ Carl Middleton
