George Mason University Students Sign Petition to Legalize Fourth Trimester Abortion

Fourth Trimester Baby

To add context to this story, George Mason University is offering a course in “Race and Politics, Trayvon Martin” this Fall. Dan Joseph for MRCTV (Media Research Center) asks students on the campus to sign a petition making fourth trimester abortions legal. Understanding that students, and even a teacher do not have the critical thinking skills to know the fourth trimester of the pregnancy is after a child is born, we still must assume they at least consider the baby is very close to birth. Joseph uses words like “post pregnancy,” “40 weeks,” “a woman shouldn’t suffer because of an unwanted post-pregnancy,” “we believe in a child and a choice,” “that would be after the 9th month of pregnancy,” After one hour, he had 14 signatures on a mostly vacant summer campus.
