The Congressional Black Caucus is asking Obama to appoint Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) to replace Janet Napolitano as Secretary of Homeland Security. Lee recently said “don’t condemn the gangbangers. We Need Gun Legislation.” In a hearing with Rep. Peter King on Islamic extremists in U.S. prisons, Lee asked the committee if they were aware of what Christian militants were doing – referring to bombing abortion clinics. Bet you didn’t know Napolitano and Lee are twin sisters. Quoting Doug Power at MichelleMalkin.com – “more of a lateral move — like a transfer of power from Barney Fife to Paul Blart.”… Except…Barney Fife was harmless:
A few of many concerns about Jackson-Lee include:
On February 18, 1999, six members of the U.S. Congressional Black Caucus visited Cuba to evaluate the U.S.-imposed embargo. Among the visitors: communist affiliated Maxine Waters and Barbara Lee of California and Sheila Jackson-Lee of Texas.
In the mid-2000s, far left activist Stoney Cooks served as Sheila Jackson-Lee’s Chief of Staff and Administrative Assistant:
In 1967, Cooks was one of 41 Americans who traveled to Czechoslovakia to meet with representatives of the North Vietnamese government and the Viet Cong.
The American delegation included members of Students for a Democratic Society and other leftist groups. According to one participant, the meeting had been initiated by the North Vietnamese and the Americans “were expected not only to oppose the war in Vietnam but also to favor, on balance, an NLF (National Liberation Front) victory…
In the late 2000′s, Sheila Jackson-Lee was close to a scam initiated by the Communist Party spinoff Committees of Correspondence for Democracy and Socialism. The scam involved using the influence of U.S. Representatives and Senators to lobby for U.S. taxpayers money to pay “reparations” to the Vietnamese communist government for damage done by U.S. forces during the Vietnam War. The moral equivalent of U.S. taxpayers being forced to bail out Hitler for damage done to Germany in WW2. More at Noisy Room
We can’t passover Caucus member Danny Davis (D-IL) and his embrace of communist ideals and who believes the president should have full power to make all decisions on our nation’s debt limit, which he equates to the Emancipation Proclamation.
The humiliating stories about Sheila Jackson Lee would take hours to put together. When Congress was planning ObamaCare, Lee had a woman who happened to be a Texas delegate for Obama show up at a townhall and pretend to be a doctor. She knows no shame.
At the same townhall, a cancer survivor tried to ask her a question. At the podium, Lee is on her cell phone – for an astonishingly long time (not that it’s not astonishing that she would even take a call that’s non-emergency while meeting with constituents). See the video here.
Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas also hands out nicknames to the people who work for her. The Houston Democrat addressed one of her employees as “you stupid motherf***er.” And not just once, but “constantly,” recalls the staffer, “like, all the time.”
Another Jackson Lee aide recounts the time her parents came to Washington to visit: “They were really excited to come to the congressional office. They’re small town people, so for them it was a huge deal. They were actually sitting in the main lobby waiting area….[Jackson Lee] came out screaming at me over a scheduling change. Called me a ’stupid idiot. Don’t be a moron, you foolish girl’ and actually did this in front of my parents, of all things.”
The CBC could also be an acronym for Congressional Black Clowns. One-third of the sitting members have been named in an ethics probe at some time in their career as a “public servant.” There is breathtaking ignorance in this CBC bunch who live like kings and queens yet have been immeasurably successful in creating and feeding programs like the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) which brought about the housing bubble – no way to keep a minority from owning a house or actually needing to quality for a loan, food stamps – just mention any government give-away and they have worked tirelessly to bring it about, and they fight like rabid dogs to keep those programs alive.
