Members of the Black Congressional Caucus are creating legislation to render justice for Trayvon Martin because, well… you know, we (as not in ‘they‘) are killing their children. Black Caucus aides are busy writing proposed legislation to kill Stand Your Ground laws, get tougher about “profiling” and make proper training for Neighborhood Watch volunteers more stringent.
African Americans benefit from Florida’s “Stand Your Ground” self-defense law at a rate far out of proportion to their presence in the state’s population, despite an assertion by Attorney General Eric Holder that repealing “Stand Your Ground” would help African Americans.
Black Floridians have made about a third of the state’s total “Stand Your Ground” claims in homicide cases, a rate nearly double the black percentage of Florida’s population. The majority of those claims have been successful, a success rate that exceeds that for Florida whites. Source: Grumpy Opinions
Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), a Caucus member often, if not always, referred to a “civil rights icon” says the George Zimmerman verdict sanctions the killing of innocent black boys” and “den[ies] them “any avenue of self-defense.” This is the nonsense, lies and smut the CBC spouts on a regular basis.
When I do a web search for “Civil Rights Icons,” I find none of those actually responsible for ending slavery, instituting God-given rights to blacks, American Indians, Hispanics, Jews and women in the U.S. We The People voted-in those responsible for doing a job that was moral and righteous as well as thankless. Not a Democrat among them – although some have made a mint giving speeches and building their brand by being photographed.
The members of the Congressional Black Caucus have done more to hold back progress of all ethnicities than any other single entity in our Government or society. Self-promoters and ignorant on the Constitution and the Rule of Law – a bad joke perpetrated on the people Attorney General Eric Holder calls “my people,” who have made the decision not to educate themselves on the truth of civil rights, to accept the lies and allow their children to be lied to.
