Congressman Frank Wolf (R-VA) has information from “trusted sources” that Benghazi survivors have been asked or directed to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) – to keep silent the story of what happened to them and the four Americans who died on the night of September 11, 2012. A Republican is saying leadership isn’t interested in Benghazi and Democrats are saying Issa has no evidence of misconduct. Wolf says not a single committee hearing is scheduled between now and the one year anniversary on September 11, 2013. See the video below.
So Congress isn’t interested any more? House Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa is pre-occupied with the IRS targeting conservatives? God help us.
Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) is the ranking member on Issa’s committee, but he isn’t a majority member. Issa referred Politico to Cummings for questions on scheduling hearings, but in May, Cummings said “Well, what we learned from this [Benghazi] is death is part of life.” He didn’t say “what difference does it make now,” as Hillary said, but there’s not much separation between the two. Surely Republicans can make Benghazi hearings happen. Good grief! We’re the majority.
Hillary has not been called back and put under oath again. Has Issa bought the story that every document leaving the State Department during Hillary’s reign automatically had her signature or her name typed, attached without her being aware of its existance, including documents denying requested security for our Libyan missions – which she said she did not deny? Just the fact that a name on a government document has no meaning, no stature, bears no weight – it’s an open door to corruption in the name of reverse laissez-faire.
Hot Air asks, would a NDA supersede a subpoena, and concludes that “not even a security clearance does that.” Wolfe answered that one. Congress doesn’t have a list of names to subpoena.
Congressman Wolf also said that he was requesting a list of all personnel or contractors who were asked to sign non-disclosure waivers from the Central Intelligence Agency, the Department of Defense, and the State Department.
“Perhaps through a list of all the employees that have signed the NDAs related to Benghazi we may finally develop a witness list to subpoena for eyewitness testimony to learn what happened that night where we lost four American lives,” Wolf continued. “I do not expect the Obama administration to be forthcoming with answers, but if this Congress — if this Congress — does not ask for the information and compels its delivery the American people will never learn the truth.” Source: Freedom Outpost (emphasis mine)
This from Congressman Wolf:
“According to trusted sources that have contacted my office, many if not all of the survivors of the Benghazi attacks along with others at the Department of Defense, the CIA have been asked or directed to sign additional non-disclosure agreements about their involvement in the Benghazi attacks. Some of these new NDAs, as they call them, I have been told were signed as recently as this summer.”
Wolf continued: “It is worth nothing that the Marine Corps Times yesterday reported that the Marine colonel whose task force was responsible for special operations in northern and western Africa at the time of the attack is still on active duty despite claims that he retired. And therefore could not be forced to testify before Congress.
“If these reports are accurate, this would be a stunning revelation to any member of Congress, any member of Congress that finds this out and also more importantly to the American people. It also raises serious concerns about the priority of the administration’s efforts to silence those with knowledge of the Benghazi attack in response.
“So today I ask, how many federal employees, military personnel, or contractors have been asked to sign additional non-disclosure agreements by each agency? And do these non-disclosure agreements apply to those undercover or have non-covert State Department and Defense Department employees?”
Wolf added, “I do not expect the Obama administration to be forthcoming with answers, but if this Congress, if this Congress does not ask for the information and compel its delivery, the American people will never learn the truth. Any federal employer employee or contractor who has been coerced and is silenced through a non-disclosure agreement should expect that Congress [will] ask to speak out on their behalf and compel their voice to be heard. That’s why I, along with 159 of my colleagues, support a Select Committee to hold public hearings to learn the truth about what happened that night in Benghazi.” ~ Rep. Frank Wolfe (R-VA)
Can the following possibly be true?
Democrats say Republicans are lacking damaging evidence against the Obama administration in the aftermath of the attacks on U.S. diplomatic outposts in Libya. They argue the House GOP is in retreat over the investigation that some conservatives believed could bring down the White House or tar a 2016 presidential candidate…
“I know our leadership in general does not want to look at that at all,” Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kan.) said. “They’ve said they have very little interest.”…
Months have now lapsed between Benghazi hearings, which in the churn of the 24-hour news cycle can feel like eons. The last public hearing in the House on Benghazi was on May 8. Source: Politico
Is it over? Why are we not hearing about the evidence pointing to Mohamed Morsi (Mursi), the ousted Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood president being behind the murders – or that maybe it was a botched kidnapping plot to exchange our Ambassador Chris Stevens for Egypt’s Blind Sheikh, Omar Abel-Rahman? Would Republicans GIVE UP when 30-some people lived through it, were employees of the State Department or the Department of Defense, thus servants of the people?
If this is over, if Hillary is not held accountable, if the rudeness of Hillary’s corrupt Accountability Review Board (ARB) are not brought to a very public light, if there is no justice for Ambassador Chris Stevens, IT Official Sean Smith, and former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, there is only one conclusion, and that is a cover-up of some very nasty truths.
