So now Jane Fonda tells Oprah Winfrey that she made  one unforgivable mistake when she allowed herself to be photographed on that North Vietnamese anti-aircraft gun in Hanoi in 1972.

“I made one unforgivable mistake when I was in North Vietnam, and I will go to my grave with this,” Jane Fonda says on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

“I don’t know if I was set up or not,”

This isn’t new. She wrote this a few years ago in one of her autobiographies when she was describing her trip to Hanoi and praising her travel companion, “fellow patriot” Ramsey Clark, in the same passage.

Fonda doesn’t get it. She never has.

She made her unforgivable mistake when she went to North Vietnam in the first place. Who set her up for that?

“There were no planes, the gun was not operable. It didn’t matter. This is an image that belied everything that I was,” Fonda said.

Really? In November 1970, there was this:

Maybe Ms Fonda would like to explain to Oprah how she acted that day at Cleveland Airport in her confrontation with US Customs officers.

That image of her on the anti-aircraft gun did not belie anything.  In my mind, it fully illustrated everything she was.

Excerpt from article by AUTHOR John Hawkins who said it better than I ever could.

While we were fighting the Vietnam War, Jane Fonda went to North Vietnam to pose for propaganda pictures with people who were killing Americans. It was nothing less than treason and Fonda richly deserved to be tried, convicted and hung by the neck until she died for her actions. She was “laughing and clapping” while Americans were dying. She was “laughing and clapping” while Americans were rotting away in POW camps. She was “laughing and clapping” with her new pals who she knew were torturing American soldiers.

PRISONER’S WERE TORTURED AS SHE REVEALED SECRET, SOME MAY HAVE EVEN DIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TOLD TO ME BY A VIETNAM VET AND HE ALSO WAS A RETIRED AK RANGER!!!!!!!!!

SHOULD READ “SECRETS ABOUT THE MEN”

  • Jane’s “mistake” may have been being photographed on that gun, because that photograph showed the world the kind of person she really was. She never seemed to be sorry for that.

  • She was not set up, and if she had been, she would have been a willing dupe. There is a very simple word that described her then, and now. Traitor.

    • KAYE

Yep!! Set Up? Nice BS Jane!! She ratted on the prisoner’s names, rank, not sure all she told!! She needs to admit the truth!!

  • Set up??? Does she want us to believe she was taken to North Vietnam against her will? She should be rotting away in Leavenworth prison!

  • This Vietnam Vet still doesn’t forgive that TRAITOR!

I’ll go to my grave, cursing that bitch. I only wish I had the opportunity to personally settle the score with her. If it weren’t for her Father, she would’ve been tried for treason.

POW’s tried to pass her messages when she visited their prison, she refused to take them. There isn’t enough “karma” in the world to get even with that whore.

    • KAYE

Yes Geo,I was trying to remember all my friend Gary Patterson told me about her treason. I mainly remember the torture she caused. I now think I remember him telling me she took the notes and gave them to N. Vietnam or at least telling them of the notes. Gary’s group came in there where Mel Gibson’s Movie, “We Were Soldier’s” ended. He now lives in Vietnam and I have lost touch with him, sadly.
