Don’t You Point Your Gun Up to Shoot Skeet? WH Releases flickr Photo of Prez Shooting Skeet – No Photoshopping Allowed

Have you seen the phone the White House allegedly released of Obama skeet shooting – after he claimed that “we” skeet shoot all the time at Camp David? Look at the smoke! WOW! The photo is identified as taken on August 4, 2012, The Won’s birthday. Reuters reported that Obama celebrated his birthday on the golf course and then helicoptered to Camp David to spend a quite evening with his family. It does look a bit dark back there in the woods doesn’t it? The New York Times apparently first identified the gun as a “rifle,” and then made a correction dated February 3, 2013 (this minute, it is is still February 2, 2013) the the gun is a “shotgun, not a rifle.” WaPo says the shotgun is a Browning Citori 725. If correct, I don’t see it on Feinstein’s banned list. When shooting skeet, wouldn’t the gun be pointed upward? Just asking.

“Butt nobody said anything about Trans-imaging!!!” (I haven’t a clue what “trans-imaging” means, butt…see hunting unicorns at Camp David here).

For a collection of photos ignoring the White House not to photoshop (but maybe “trans-image) check Doug Ross. I particularly ♥ No. 3.

No need to photoshop when you can use dialog instead.

A bunch of people must not have heard that photoshop is a no no. Or maybe they used a different type of software.

Thanks for the link. I’m thinking he had all of his little clay pigeons lined up in front of him.

You not only point the shotgun up, but you follow the clay pigeon with the gun until you shoot.

This guy looks like he is doing target shooting.

BTW, doesn’t Obama have a “double” that he can use for photo shoot purposes? Notice we cannot see Obama’s face.

findalis, yes, he wasn’t following anything. The gun was already smoking!

Also, look at the muscles in his arms – you get a lot more tension in the muscles when the ammo flies because you have to control the recoil. Does it look like he is doing that? Or is it just that he can leap tall buildings at a single bound and doesn’t flinch with a recoil?

Interesting back on August 4, 2012, the White House reported that Obama was golfing that day and then returned to Camp David to relax for a quiet evening with his family. Somebody’s not telling the truth here.

Also, if he has shot skeet on August 4, this picture would have been released as a campaign photo to sucker in some gun owners by showing he likes to shoot guns. We’ve never heard of Obama shooting a gun before. We know of every game of basketball or round of golf he plays but never a peep on shooting.

What Obama is trying to do is divide gun owners from those who believe in a literal Second Amendment from those who believe guns should be only for hunting and sport shooting…Divide and Conquer. Once he gets rid of semi automatic rifles and pistols, he’s go after those long range sniper rifles and riot control shotguns.

I’m seeing PhotoShops all over the web.

Those who have done these PhotoShops knew about the warning, but decided to make a stand for freedom of expression.

Holding the gun at the angle shown is possible for trap shooting — and maybe for some of the skeet houses, too.

Obama does seem to be pressing his face quite hard into that stock.

The pose looks quite awkward. Regardless of whether he was really skeet or target shooting, or even just posing for the photo, it sure shows he is not comfortable firing that particular weapon. One would think the recoil could hurt his face, with it pressed so hard into his cheek. Whole thing is just bizarre. And lame.

      cheers

Hi Linda, nice to see you. Thanks for coming by. Yes, the whole thing is bizarre and I think the smoke is photoshopped.

AOW – love them! Thanks. The WH opened a can of worms, didn’t they? They are all snakes, so maybe they think they can eat the worms. I’ve never seen anything so arrogant (other than the contraceptions given to NY school girls – that pretty arrogant :-)
