Maggie … Not only is all of his work so incredibly detailed from not just hours, but days of what must be a labor of love. He isn’t satisfied with the finished product until it is historically correct as well. The study time alone must be in hours before he begins. I too, as you are, am a fan of his talent. David helps keep America’s history alive. We can reach out and literally touch it. So thank you David … you’re the best.

Such an amazing artwork! Honestly, I haven’t heard about David before, although I am a huge fan of bronze sculptures. (I mostly know european sculptors) but this 6′ one looks really breathtaking! I wish I could have a larger image to view those chiseled details. I totally admit that there must have been a very long and deep research about the topic, the sculptor has to know the behavior of all the materials he wants to model. Leather, clothes, hair, skin – such a complex art…
