Former U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle was murdered yesterday outside of Fort Worth, Texas at a shooting resort. In this video of Kyle and Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, Kilmeade quotes Joe Biden saying the” Taliban is, per se, not our enemy.” Biden went on to say that Obama “has never made in any of our policy assertions that the Taliban is our enemy….” See that’s the problem, and Chris Kyle saw it clearly telling Kilmeade “it sounds like treason to me.” Chris mentions his long-time friend Marcus Luttrell, Navy Cross recipient, who served in Iraq and then was transferred to Afghanistan in 2005 where he and three SEAL Team members were caught in a Taliban ambush. Luttrell was the only survivor, left unconscious and badly injured. When he came to, he made his way to a Pashtun village which harbored him until our Military arrived.
Chris Kyle was shot in the back and killed, along with another friend, allegedly Eddie Routh, a reserve Marine who Kyle was helping to recover from PTSD. Kyle earned two Silver Stars and five Bronze Stars with Valor. He is officially considered the most lethal sniper in SEAL service.
HOUSTON — From his perch in hide-outs above battle-scarred Iraq, Chris Kyle earned a reputation as one of America’s deadliest military snipers. The Pentagon said his skills with a rifle so terrorized Iraqi insurgents during his four tours of duty that they nicknamed him the “Devil of Ramadi” and put a bounty on his head. Source: NYT
Chris Kyle’s bestseller American Sniper is a great read. You can hear the Texas cowboy in the writing. He was a great lover of life, a person who had devoted himself to helping returning Military to readjust to civilian life again. He left behind his wife Taya and two children.
