Senate Majority leader Harry Reid (D-NV) says he will not work with Romney, should Romney become President. No surprise there. If we could be a fly on the wall of voting booths of every Democrat in Congress, I think we would see many, many of them cast a vote for Romney. Most are just little guys among the Chuck Schumers and Harry Reids. Most have no power at all, and are enduring their disgraceful leaders. Reid has been forced to keep House legislation from coming up for vote knowing many of his subjects are also concerned about the direction of the country, and would vote with Republicans.
JOE SCARBOROUGH TO MIKA: Democrats in Washington have been horrified by this president’s handling of things for a year-and-a-half now…the top Democrats in the United States Senate have all told me individually, this guy has no idea what he’s doing…
These Democratic chairmen in the Senate are saying: you’ve got to get us all in the room. They’ve got to get the Republicans in here. You lock arms before you do these things. They said the President just won’t do it.
[Mika tries to say Republicans have been to the White House]
Come on, come on Mika, seriously…that’s what the top Democrat Senators are saying. The people that you…you know damn well which powerful Senators that run the United States Senate, have been saying about Barack Obama for the past two years.
…for 18 months [Senator] Mitch McConnell, the most powerful Republican in the U.S. Senate did not have a one-on-one with Barack Obama – that is inexcusable on all levels and Democratic Senators will be the first to tell you that, and they have have told you that…
Hey Mike, just so I’m not exposed here, Mika can’t say it because she has talked to these same Democrat Senators, how many Democrat Senators running the Senate over the past to years have told you that they could pull their hair out. ["Mike" answers 7 different individual Senators have said exactly that].
Scarborough says he has had calls at home from Democratic Chairmen, asking “can you believe what he is doing today?
Their Democrat President sent a budget down to the Senate floor that not one single Democrat voted for, yet Reid thinks it’s a fantasy that Romney hopes to work with Demcrats:
Five days before the election, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has ruled out trying to work with Mitt Romney should he win next week.
“Mitt Romney’s fantasy that Senate Democrats will work with him to pass his ‘severely conservative’ agenda is laughable,” Mr. Reid said in a statement on Friday, trying to puncture Mr. Romney’s closing election argument that he’ll be able to deliver on the bipartisanship President Obama promised in 2008 but has struggled to live up to…
Mr. Reid flatly ruled out following Mr. Romney’s agenda, saying he and his colleagues have already voted down many of those proposals, including House Republicans’ budget, written by Republican vice presidential nominee Rep. Paul Ryan.
“Mitt Romney has demonstrated that he lacks the courage to stand up to the tea party, kowtowing to their demands time and again. There is nothing in Mitt Romney’s record to suggest he would act any differently as president,” Mr. Reid said. Source: Washington Times
The word “Senator”should be a title of great respect bestowed upon each member of the Senate by ‘We The People,’ yet we have had Democrat Senators taking egregious deals to get ObamaCare passed. We saw them lock Republicans out of countless ObamaCare meetings. We heard Reid accuse Romney of not paying taxes for ten years without a single fact to back up the outrageous claim, and routinely shovel House legislation into an bottom drawer somewhere.
America, no matter your party allegiance, if you want this country to work, put enough Republicans into the Senate body to insure a majority. Message to Nevada: shame on you for your continued support of Reid, the spawn of a cockroach.
