Arizona Police CAN Question Immigration Status of Suspected Illegals: Show Me Your Papers

Federal Judge Susan Bolton has ruled that Arizona law enforcement can question the immigration status of suspected illegals, in what has become known as the “show me your papers” provision of Arizona’s SB 1070 immigration law. The US Supreme Court has already declared the provision legal but Obama’s DOJ asked a federal court to block the SCOTUS ruling. Finally some sanity in our immigration laws. Finally some protections for the people of Arizona and the rest of the U.S., where illegals enter on the southern border and make their way northward.

The Obama administration claims racial profiling will be the outcome of “show me your papers,” but just as the DOJ tried to prove racial discrimination in the Arizona law, they also tried to prove “abuse of power” practices against Arizona’s Maricopa Country Sheriff Joe Arpaio, but could prove nothing and dropped the charges on the Friday night before Labor Day.  If this administration had their way, our law enforcement would be run by the New Black Panther Party.

It’s absurd to think that law enforcement should never be allowed to ask people about their citizenship status, so this judge’s ruling is good and quite sensible.

  • Score one for the good guys.
