Brad Pitt’s Mother – Jane Pitt: Obama a Liberal Who Kills Unborn Babies – Vote for Mitt Romney

Brad Pitt’s mother, Jane Pitt, has written a letter to Missouri’s News-Leader newspaper denouncing same-sex marriage and encouraging Christians to vote for Mitt Romney. After the newspaper first denied any connection of the letter writer to her famous son, it issued a correction:

(L-R) Doug Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Jane Pitt, Brad Pitt

“To clear up earlier confusion, the News-Leader has verified the letter writer is the mother of actor Brad Pitt and local businessman Doug Pitt.” Source: Pat Dollard

Hollywood Reporter:

The letter — itself a response to another opinion piece in the newspaper justifying Christians’ rights to refuse to vote for Romney because he is a Mormon — identifies Mrs. Pitt as “a Christian [who differs] with the Mormon religion.”

But, Pitt continues, “any Christian should spend much time in prayer before refusing to vote for a family man with high morals, business experience, who is against abortion, and shares Christian conviction concerning homosexuality just because he is a Mormon.”

Pitt goes on to write that “any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama — a man who sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for years, did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer, and is a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage.”

Brad Pitt and Angelie Jolie, after growing a family of 6 children, recently announced they were engaged because the childen wanted them to marry. Pitt famously told Ellen Degeneress:

“I’ve said that we would not be getting married until everyone in this country had the right to get married.”

If rumors are true, they are indeed engaged, but Pitt has backed off of the original time period the couple had planned for their nuptials.

Jane Pitt is a Mom who does not fear Hollywood, and isn’t worried about her seat at the Oscars. Bless her for knowing that her voice is every bit as important as her son’s.

To Jane Pitt, I want to say….You go girl!!! I loved what you wrote and I’m glad you have the backbone to say so! I totally agree with you! I don’t think you’re ashamed of your Brad for being for Obama. But I will help you pray his eyes will be opened and he’ll see Obama for who he really is and not continue to be fooled and sold on Obama’s charm, smooth talking lies, and salesman-like slickness! Obama thinks people are too stupid to see through his sales pitch! Wake Up and see it for what it is: Obama vs America in 2012. I hope everyone “chooses America” by voting for Romney.
Don’t be like Jim Jones followers and follow Obama to the death of America!

  • Brad Pitt should listen to his mother, for after all Mama Knows Best!

  • Ragan

Fact is, there are numerous faith denominations, including Christian denominations that open their arms to the gay community and believe that marriage should be accessible to all people. Freedom of religion in this country enables all people to worship as they each individually wish; it is NOT a license for certain overreaching Christian fundamentalist sects to force everybody else via legislation to live by their belief systems. Thus, preventing same sex marriage at the federal level for all is unconstitutional. We are not a theocracy. Those who wish to legislate their own religious ideologies at the expense of others need to take at careful look at our Islamic State neighbors to the East to get a better idea of how well the average theocracy works.

    • Ragan, “fact is,” everyone is allowed to freely worship, and everyone is allowed to “love” whom they want, but they are not allowed to legally marry in most areas of the United States. There is nothing “overreaching” about being against same sex marriage. It is not in an historic right. Being anti-gay marriage has nothing to do with “theocracy.”

      • KB

Fact is, Maggie, that marriage is a civil contract, and being anti-gay marriage is denying a civil right to some Americans while permitting it for others. That is indeed “overreaching.” No one is forcing churches, whether they are Presbyterian, Mormon, or “other,” to marry gay people within the church if they’re opposed. Likewise, certain people shouldn’t be deprived a civil right because of the tenets of any given religion or the unwillingness of some people to behave in a truly Christian way and love and accept people from all walks of life.

        • KB, fact is, it depends on what the meaning of marriage “is.” Don’t even try to invoke Christian love and acceptance here.

Excellent post, Ragan Thank you. I think that a religious state breeds intolerance and hate crimes against those who do not share the beliefs of those in power at the time.

  • Brad also thinks Hugo Cavez is an outstanding example of presidents should govern. Clearly he was raised better; but somewhere along the way he lost his way.

    • Jim, I have to wonder is Angelina is so foolish. I believe she fully understands the methods of dictators around the world.

  • Z

Did you hear that some liberal venues tried to deny it was THAT Jane Pitt, then had to agree it was? The fun never stops, does it.
And, of course, she’s not allowed to have any point of view; it bugs them so much that Pitt’s mom isn’t on his page that they have to try to deny it.
    SHe ROCKS!! 🙂

    • Z, Yes, even the newspaper that printed her letter said it was not “the” Brad Pitt’s mother.

  • Ronald J. Ward

I wouldn’t expect people of considerable wealth or vast resourses to vote for Obama. I’d say it would be rather foolish of them to do so, just as it would be foolish for anyone with less than considerable wealth or vast resourses to vote for Romney.

    • Ronald, I wouldn’t expect those who expect their government to take care of them, courtesy of taxpayers (of which they are not one of) to vote for Romney.

I have less than “considerable wealth or vast resources” and did not vote for Obama and have not ever considered doing so.

    • Connie M.

Ronald J. Ward and all, there are some things more important than money. I am poor, yet I refuse to sell my freedom and The Constitution for a few food stamps. Obama thinks he can waive around food stamps and we will follow him anywhere, while he’s looking down his nose at us thinking …look at those pitiful fools!
In my opinion the man is so un-American that he’s actually anti-American. He does not like the Constitution being the supreme law of the land, and ignores that very thing he swore coming into office to protect and uphold. Who ever said there’s not much difference between Obama & Romney is absolutely right! But it’s the “small” difference there is that causes us to vote for Romney. It’s not that we think Romney is great or even good. Our voting for Romney has more to do with voting against Obama than for Romney. I don’t recall Pitt’s mother saying anything good about Romney. But she did make it clear she did not want Obama SO bad that she would vote for Romney. I agree with her totally! If you stay home and don’t vote because you don’t like Romney, you are in reality casting your vote for Obama which is worse since there IS a small difference in them. I’m hoping for better candidate choices the next term. I see Romney as a short term seat warmer until we can get some REAL candidate choices lined up on all sides the following term. I don’t expect him to do much good. But at least it will stop Obama from doing more damage. Obama wants to take our freedom away and destroy America. We can’t sit back and allow him to do that at all. It would be much harder to fight to get our lost freedom back, than it is to fight to keep it. In 2012, it’s America vs. Obama. Please stand up for America! Don’t try to change it. Those who do not like America can go elsewhere to live.

    Jane Pitt for President!

    • Connie M.

Grace, Yeah…Jane Pitt could do better as President than Romney or Obama!

  • Connie Mundy

I hope Brad Pitt will change his mind about voting for Obama after the death threats his Mom has received for speaking her mind. He’s standing with Obama’s people that have no problem threatening to kill his Mom. I would take the threats seriously! Remember Andrew Breitbart??? He spoke out. Brad, yes your Mom is loving. She is also very intelligent! Please stand with her against the Obama thugs.

    • Connie Mundy, wouldn’t that be the stellar thing, that her Hollywood son would be reviled at the character of so many of the people who vote the same way he votes. Won’t happen though. I feel there are many in Hollywood who profess to be Liberal but go into the voting booth and vote Conservative – but doesn’t incude those who raise money for Liberal candidates.

  • Lori Blaschke

Dear Jane, I admire what you wrote and support your opinions. It is a breath of fresh air to hear someone cares about values our country is losing it’s focus and No God and everything goes our country was founded with God and it is scary where we are heading. Thank you so much for your article I love your honesty. Take Care Lori

  • Jezzy

The Romney camp must be thrilled at this…whether people give Mrs. Pitt props or rail at her, everyone seems to be taking her portrayal of Romney as a deeply pro-life and anti-gay candidate at face value. In fact, Romney was pro choice until *2004* so he was pretty comfortable with baby killing right up until he started thinking he might want to be President. And he certainly does not “share Christian conviction about homosexuality”. He has repeatedly campaigned on a *pro* gay rights agenda on everything *but* gay marriage (basically the same stance as Dems like Bill Clinton and, until very recently, Obama). It’s fine for Jane to write her little letter. She certainly shouldn’t get any threats about it. But she’s a very naive woman if she thinks there’s much difference between these candidates’ true views on the issues she mentions.

    • I was once Pro-Abortion and a flaming Liberal. But I grew up. I am now Pro-Life and a Conservative. People can change.

    • Jezzy, people do change, but none of it matters because Romney is the only candidate choice other than Obama who will allow, and did vote for, aborted babies born alive to be put in a closet to die.

“Little” letter! She is not naive. She simply knows her choices. Being pro-gay rights but against gay marriage is an honorable position.

      • Connie M., you are spot-on right. We must keep our eye on the prize, which is Liberty. If he picks the right Vie President, which I think is Rubio, we’ll keep the White House for another 8 years. By the way, I like Rubio not because of the Latino vote, but because he understands Liberty and he explains things so that everyone can understand it.
