Getting Married? Obama Wants Your Gravy Bowl – Yet Another Wedding Registry!

How arrogant must you be to think young couples will ask their wedding guests to donate to the Obama presidential campaign rather than gift the bride and groom? Answer: you need only be as arrogant as Barack Obama, who lives in luxury at the expense of taxpayers and sends his wife to Spain for vacation, costing taxpayers $476,585, where she wore an off-the-shoulder blouse for  the cameras as she made her way through the streets of Madrid. That’s the First Lady of the United States, almost-strapless in Spain, taking a full floor of a 5-Star Hotel, and she wants your wedding gifts to pay for another four years for her family in the White House. Barack wants it too. Michelle should be mortified!

The campaign has started an “Obama event registry” to let engaged fans of the president ask friends and family for donations to his re-election bid instead of presents.

“Got a birthday, anniversary, or wedding coming up?” the site asks. “Let your friends know how important this election is to you — register with Obama 2012, and ask for a donation in lieu of a gift.
“It’s a great way to support the President on your big day,” it continues. “Plus, it’s a gift that we can all appreciate — and goes a lot further than a gravy bowl.”

When signing up, supporters are asked to set a monetary goal. The site also provides some suggested language to use when hitting up friends and relatives for campaign cash.

“For my big day, I’d like to show my support for a cause I believe in — re-electing President Obama,” it reads. “That’s why I’m asking my friends and family to donate to the Obama campaign. Thanks for chipping in!” Source: Fox News

Michelle Obama Showing Shoulder in Spain

So yes, my gripe about showing shoulders in Spain is petty, especially when compared to the extraordinary spending habits of the First Couple, but it’s a small glimpse of who they are – and they want your gravy bowl. View the Most Arrogant Man in the World.

  • Only in the liberal mind.

    Welcome back Maggie.

    • Woodsterman, isn’t that the truth. Have to be an idiot to ask a young couple getting married to donate what could be their’s to begin their lives together. In the case of a disease, when it’s needed, it would be a joy to do so. The man is so disgustingly selfish.

Thanks for the welcome back. I won’t be doing Rule 5’s (at least for now) but know that I will find ways to link to you.

  • I have thought that I’ve seen the worst that this man could do. But I can now say that his ego, his hubris, his arrogance has hit a new low.

This tells me one thing. Obama is having trouble raising money and is spending too much right now. This keeps up by October he just might have no more money to spend on this campaign.

    • findalis, this will backfire on him. If they want to report on the overwhelming support for this registry, they’ll have to make up the numbers.

  • “, it’s a gift that we can all appreciate — and goes a lot further than a gravy bowl.”

He’s right. There is no end to the Obama gravy train.

    • Jim, “gravy train.” Why didn’t I think of that?

  • I have thought that I’ve seen the worst that this man could do. But I can now say that his ego, his hubris, his arrogance has hit a new low.

  • Yes…arrogant is the word! I saw this headline on my reading list and couldn’t believe what I was reading. I read it aloud to my wife and the first word out of her mouth was, “arrogant”.

For those people who once believed in, “Yes we can.” I think this latest arrogance will lead to, “No we don’t!”

  • Oh, this is really bad idea. I couldn’t figure out that this could help to everyone. What a chesty person.

  • God’s Word says: “A fool and his money is soon departed” so the Obama fools can just go to He!! and $tay there! MO is one ugly bad taste pig! Too bad, you can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear. . . who would even want to?
