With the masses of every American mandated to buy insurance, millions of dollars will be collected through $1 per insured person, per month, to fund abortions through ObamaCare. To me, it is not clear whether some insurance plans not including elective abortion will be available, but the bold text wording below indicates that might be the case, and if such an insurance plan is the only plan available to keep us from paying for abortions, the plan may not be adequate for our health care needs.
LIFENEWS.COM: Nestled within the “individual mandate” in the Obamacare act — that portion of the Act requiring every American to purchase government — approved insurance or pay a penalty — is an “abortion premium mandate.” This mandate requires all persons enrolled in insurance plans that include elective abortion coverage to pay a separate premium from their own pockets to fund abortion. As a result, many pro-life Americans will have to decide between a plan that violates their consciences by funding abortion, or a plan that may not meet their health needs.
In light of the moral and religious implications, don’t lose sight of the fact that even if you are pro-choice, you and every insured person in your household will spend $12 per year to pay for the abortion of someone(s) you don’t know. It’s unconstitutional on every level, moral, religious and as a mandate.
