Andrew Breitbart died of natural causes today shortly after 5 a.m. while walking near his Los Angeles home. According to this article, a neighbor saw him fall and called paramedics. Sean Hannity on Fox News this morning said Andrew had a history of heart problems, and Andrew’s father-in-law Orson Bean has confirmed that.
UPDATE: Earlier reports that Andrew died shortly after midnight might be accurate. The 5 a.m. report above was from Forbes.
Breitbart Quote: Don’t make any bargains with these people because they will shut you up.
Among his greatest contributions was and is exposing ACORN, which has now dissolved and reemerged as many smaller groups without the benefit of taxpayer funding (at least as far as we know). Today you and I are aware of how far Leftist organizations will go to achieve their tyranny, and we are aware because of Andrew Breitbart.
A man of such enormous energy would no doubt challenge an impaired heart. Liberals hated him, hated him with such a passion, and with good reason, because few others could expose their progressive agenda, and do it as memorably, as did Andrew. Calling the Democrat Party “the Institutional Left,” his speech was fearless. He was an elephantine cog in their smoothly rolling wheel.
Andrew Breitbart was the father of four, the husband of Susannah, the founder of BigGovernment.com, BigPeace.com, BigJournalism.com and BigHollywood.com, an author and a baldly straight-talking conservative warrior. May he rest in peace. May God comfort his family. If you are aware of the division between Glenn Beck and Breitbart, you might want to know this.
DEAR READER: In the first decade of the DRUDGEREPORT Andrew Breitbart was a constant source of energy, passion and commitment. We shared a love of headlines, a love of the news, an excitement about what’s happening. I don’t think there was a single day during that time when we did not flash each other or laugh with each other, or challenge each other. I still see him in my mind’s eye in Venice Beach, the sunny day I met him. He was in his mid 20’s. It was all there. He had a wonderful, loving family and we all feel great sadness for them today… MDRUDGE
UPDATE: Rush Limbaugh, speaking of Andrew, said “this country needs thousands of Andrew Breitbarts.”
UPDATE 2:37 PM CDT: One of Breitbart’s partners is on radio with Sean Hannity this minute. He says about a year ago Andrew had some shortness of breath. He immediately saw a doctor, was put on medication and began losing weight. His offices were moved closer to his home.
UPDATE 10:45 PM CDT: Adrienne’s Corner says the much awaited Obama College Tapes will be released in 7-10 days. The video says they will be shown on the Sean Hannity Show.
