Gene Sperling: Obama Econ Adviser – We Need a Global Minimum Tax

February 13, 2012
By

Gene Sperling is Obama’s Director of the National Economic Council and Assistant to the President for Economic Policy. He is an attorney, a counsel for Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, and on the staff of the Council on Foreign Relations. Right out of the Wharton School of Economics, he went to work for government and never left. The man has never created a job or met a payroll that I can find documented. In the video below, speaking about Obama’s budget, he says the President wants a global minimum tax (not said if Obama’s unwillingness to tax the 49% of Americans who pay no taxes). This president who told Berliners he is a “citizen of the world,” believes he has the right to determine, for the world, who is doing their fair share and who is not.

He supports corporate tax reform that would reduce expenditures and loopholes, lower rates for people investing and creating jobs in the U.S., due so further for manufacturing, and that we need to, as we have the Buffett Rule and the individual tax reform, we need a global minimum tax so that people have the assurance that nobody is escaping doing their fair share as part of a race to the bottom or having our tax code actually subsidized and facilitate people moving their funds to tax havens,” Sperling said.

Zerohedge provides the second video of the U.N. talking about a new global source of funding. Indeed, this global tax on finances worldwide has been in the works for a very long time, and bolstered by Senator Obama’s Global Poverty Act of 2007, along with a global tax on the air as your flight moves through it, on water, and on fossil fuels. It is all in the grand scheme of the U.N’s. Millennium Development Goal, calling for, what else…open borders across the planet.

Obama knows his budget is going nowhere, but friends, you need to know that he advocates for this craziness, and to understand his agenda in depth, take a look at what John Bolton had to say about Barack Obama and our sovereignty at CPAC.

The Lonely Conservative has more. Prison Planet is also talking about Obama’s Global Poverty Act and Sperling’s comments on behalf of the President.

There isn’t a tax that they don’t like in this administration. Seems to be their answer to everything. Nice timing though Europe is going broke.
