Obama To The American People:

F**k You!

Once again the Obama regime fails to provide sound energy and job programs.  Instead of looking to our neighbor to the north, Canada and their oil sands for some energy independence (From Muslim oil), he will be cancelling the Keystone Pipeline.  A project that will bring 100,000 jobs (20,000 Shovel-ready.).

The State Department will announce the decision on Keystone XL pipeline is “no,” as early as Wednesday, an industry source told Fox News, suggesting that the department will say 60 days is inadequate time to do the required environmental impact assessment on the path of the coveted pipeline.

For three years, the State Department has been reviewing the initial proposal to run a pipeline from Canada down to Texas through a sensitive Nebraska aquifer — authority it has because of the transnational path the route takes. The pipeline had been through several other federal, state and local approvals, but the department backed away from signing off on the plan last year after environmentalists complained.

Industry workers and Republicans contend the project would create thousands of jobs, and Canada’s prime minister has warned if the U.S. can’t get on board, the North American nation will look to team with China.

“Unfortunately Prime Minister Harper of Canada just this week said because of the volatile indecisiveness on the part of this president, that they feel they are being held hostage and they will take their energy elsewhere specifically to Asia and China,” Jack Gerard, president and CEO of the American Petroleum Institute, told Fox News Radio.

In December, Congress attached to the payroll tax cut a deadline of 60 days for the State Department to determine approval for an alternative route. A spokesman for House Speaker John Boehner pointed out that the legislation doesn’t permit the State Department to reject the plan, only President Obama. The language says if he rejects the pipeline, Obama must then issue a report to Congress “that provides a justification for determination, including consideration of economic, employment, energy security, foreign policy, trade and environmental factors.”

On Tuesday, Obama’s own jobs council suggested that it agrees with the pipeline concept. While not specifically mentioning Keystone in a report out Tuesday about improving competitiveness, the council said that when it comes to energy projects in general, the government needs to “expeditiously, though cautiously, move forward on projects that can support hundreds of thousands of jobs.”

“We think this all-in energy strategy can create significant economic growths and significant job creation,” said Lewis Hay, NextEra Energy CEO and a member of the president’s job council.

Obama has noted his environmental concerns when it comes to energy exploration but insisted Tuesday that a balance could be found.

“I think the recommendations are sound. We see enormous potential in production of traditional fossil fuels,” he said without mentioning Keystone.

As oil prices rose Wednesday on fresh signs the U.S. economy was improving, which could lead to stronger demand for gasoline and other energy products, the Natural Resources Defense Council, an environmental group, argued that the pipeline doesn’t make the U.S. anymore energy secure just because it would get oil from a close neighbor and friend.

Instead of carrying common crude oil, the Keystone XL pipeline would carry thick, toxic bitumen for refining in the Gulf states, effectively transporting pollution from Canada to the United States,” reads the NRDC report..

“It is not in the national interest to lock the United States into supporting an expensive and dirty form of oil for many years to come. Also, additional capacity for tar sands oil perpetuates America’s addiction to oil, and undermines the clean energy alternatives that would bring genuine energy security,” the NRDC report continues.

But Gerard said the president’s refusal to approve the pipeline is a “clear abdication of leadership.” House Speaker John Boehner also accused the president of trying to put off a politically difficult decision until after the election.

“This is not good for our country,” Boehner said. “The president wants to put this off until it’s convenient for him to make a decision. … The president’s got an opportunity to create 100,000 new jobs almost immediately. The president should say yes.”

Barack Hussein Obama has given into the extreme Environmental Moonbats.  These are the kooks that want the world to go back to the time we lived without electricity, modern medicine, cars, etc…  And Sheik Obama agrees with them.  But instead of Sheik Obama assuming the blame on this disastrous decision, he will now be able to blame the State Department (Hillary Clinton) for the decision.  Just like he tries to do every time.

    1) Did you know that all the jobs for the Keystone XL pipeline, which would in most cases last a total of 18 months,
were earmarked and PROMISED to UNION workers from giant labor unions?

The reason was, this was the way the global chamber of commerce had intended to put pressure on Democrats to approve the deal, by paying off giant labor unions. Virtually none of these temporary jobs would have gone to anyone who is not already a member of the dues-paying major labor unions.

    2) did you know that once approved, land owners would be FORCED to allow installation of a giant pipeline across their property and should they not agree to this, their land would be CONDEMNED by the US govt and basically given to a Canadian company?
Does the US Govt have a constitutional right to grant a right-of-way for little to ZERO payments to you across your land, against your will? Does that sound very “conservative” to you?
The owners of properties taken by the pipeline project for a company from a foreign nation would have no right to tell the canadian pipeline “NO”, or to demand their own price for the taking or use of the american citizens property.

    3) did you know that the reason the oil is being piped to Houston is because Houston is a warm-water PORT on the gulf of Mexico?
Virtually NONE of this oil is intended to benefit USA consumers because its not being sold here.. its going onto tankers for sale to developing markets like South America / Brazil, who we were just signed into a bad free trade scam with.
When the USA factories are relocated to South America, to take advantage of the recent ‘free’-trade deals there, they are going to need cheap energy supplies (that do not come from Hugo Chavez) to take advantage of the ‘Free’-trade freebies they have gotten.. this pipeline will send THEM (not USA population) all the oil they need to run their job exportation scheme.

When asked in congressional hearings how much of the oil from the KeystoneXL pipeline would be sold to american consumers, the Canadians would not ackmowledge that ANY of it would be used or sold on the USA consumer market.

If the money were spent on this pipeline, and used to send a massive supply of oil into the USA market, it would cause the price of oil to plummet, and the company would lose huge amounts of money… they are NOT spending billions to lobby for (let alone build) this pipeline to ‘lose’ money.

Even republicans in congress are now only talking about alleged “jobs” related to the pipeline and do not promise it will deliver actual oil to the USA consumer. The reality is, USA consumers get almost zero from this deal, except their land being confiscated, and the risk of leaks. The jobs related to building it last 18 months total, and will all go to labor unions.

Why am i telling you the facts while all the media sources do not mention any of this, you ask? Because unlike the media that are telling you what amounts to the Global Chamber of Commerces’ paid Propaganda, I am not being paid hundreds of millions of dollars over five years to peddle bad deals like a used car salesman to people who are easy to trick and decieve.

You are repeating the propaganda without any of the facts, like you have been taught.
Obama is really bad president, but the KeystoneXL was a really bad deal as well, that did not offer anything to actual americans unless they were paid-off shills for the Global Chamber of Commerce. If the Globalist propganda is not a lie, lets see them do what they had threatened was imminent, which is to send to oil across CANADA to the pacific. They dont want or intend to do that because it would be a lot harder and more costly to ship this oil to their outsourcing partners in South America.

    • I know that the majority of the jobs are union jobs, but they are American jobs. Those are American citizens working at a time when unemployment is over 8%.

And governments have taken over land for electrical lines using Eminent Domain. For the Common Good. Farmers as well as others have had their land taken away for that reason. Yet you forget that.

The refineries are at Houston and other places on the Gulf. if the refineries were in Hollywood the pipeline would go to Hollywood. And oil is transported to various cities via pipelines from Houston, Gas trucks, railcars and tankers. Funny how you believe that it will only go overseas. You forgot to do your homework on how oil is transported around the nation.

Once refined it is the Company refining the oil to sell it. Funny how you didn’t know that.

No propaganda here. I have many friends in the industry to know that once a Refinery obtains the oil, it is the property of the Refinery (actually the company doing the refinery). That is why the big oil companies own the refineries. The oil will be sold here. Not to do so is bad business.

Obama is doing this to appease the Environmentalists, not for any other reason. And the American people will be screwed by his decision big time.

      • one true conservative

I am not Obama fan, and cant find anyone currently running I would vote for except Ron Paul.

That said, you dont have the right to tell me that I have to give up my land. You have the right to give up YOUR LAND.

While power lines have been strung on private land, and fire hydrants, gas lines, etc.. the difference is, all those bring needed services to the person who the right off way affects.

The KeystoneXL pipeline does not bring anything to us, it only benefits those associated in some way with Canadian oil interests or those who want the oil to reach the port of Houston for trans-shipment.

If its going to be sold domestically in the USA it would cause a large DE-CREASE in the US market price of oil. This would mean that the pipeline builders would be spending money to LOSE money on a lower price for their oil.
The Canadians have their own refineries and can ship via rail from Canada quite easily if that was their intent. They now own the old pacific NW line that runs through the USA.

They want it to go to houston to get it on ships out of the country, and told the congressional committee the oil is for EXPORT.

Show me one quote where anyone running this project says they are selling this oil on the USA market. The ONLY thing they will promise is TEMPORARY jobs, in exchange for a permanent right-of-way they own across the entire USA.

10K temp jobs for 18 months, to exclusively union workers, and we give them a permanent pipeline across our country forever.. NO thanks.

Once again, show me any quote from the pipeline builders that they intend to sell this oil on the USA market- they would lose money doing so.

  • Oil prices are now going to soar to the moon!

    And I heat with oil.

Obama is deliberately bankrupting the middle class to force us all onto the government dole.

    Surreal.

  • This may just do the trick in ending the Obama regime. Valerie Jarrett took Obama to one bridge or pipline too far.

  • Catwoman

Really nice post, and honestly I totally agree. I like your point that Obama had to end his game. Although I used to be a democrat, what nowadays happen, that’s not why expected.

  • It Lives

    The KeystoneXL pipeline already exists.

The portion that the canadians want to send down to Houston from Alberta is a New extension.
The current KeystoneXL runs to refineries in Illinois, Oklahoma and Nebraska.
If you dont believe me, look it up.

The problem for the Canadians and fuel refiners is, its difficult to easily export fuel refined in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.. these are not ports.

The purpose of sending it to Houston is to send it out of the country to south america and to europe. Also, the Canadians filed a corporate document that says their Oil prices are artificially depressed because their tar-sands oil is land locked in the USA midwest, leading to a Glut of fuel to refine.

By getting it out of the country at Houston, they will make more money, since it takes supply away from midwestern USA refineries in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Nebraska that is only economical to sell inside the USA.

In the end, a lot of people are getting paid off to promote this pipeline extension, but few discuss the reasons they want the extension because if they explained they want to get the oil out of the midwest, into other countries so they can charge more, no one would be agreeing to this nonsense.

We need smarter more educated americans who cannot be so easily propagandized or we are doomed as nation of morons being led by the nose with nonsense propaganda.

  • It Lives

Houston is a free-trade port, which means any oil refined there for EXPORT is TAX-FREE….

The oil refined in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Nebraska and that stays in the USA is taxed like any other product.

The Canadians and their partners make a massive profit off of the free trade scams because they become exempt from taxes if they ship the refined product overseas from Houston.

“Canada doesn’t have nearly enough oil to fill existing pipelines going to the United States. However, existing Canadian oil pipelines all go to the Midwest, where the only buyer for their crude is the United States. Keystone XL would divert Canadian oil from refineries in the Midwest to the Gulf Coast where it can be refined and exported.”
“Many of these refineries are in Foriegn Trade Zones where oil may be exported to international buyers without paying U.S. taxes. And that is exactly what Valero, one of the largest potential buyers of Keystone XL’s oil, has told its investors it will do. The idea that Keystone XL will improve U.S. oil supply is a documented scam being played on the American people by Big Oil and its friends in Washington DC.”
“TransCanada refused to support a requirement that oil on Keystone XL be used in the United States in a recent Congressional hearing. Earlier this month, Representative Edward Markey asked TransCanada’s President Alex Pourbaix to support a condition that would require the oil on Keystone XL to be used in the United States. Mr. Pourbaix refused, saying that a requirement to keep oil on Keystone XL in the United States would cause refineries to back out of their contracts.”
