Reaganite Republican has a powerful post up today about Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich, ObamaCare and the lies. About ORomneyCare and ObamaCare, here’s a quote:
Yet if not identical twins -as Mittens purports- they’re surely a couple of grotesquely-bloated fraternal bastards we all would have been a whole lot better-off without.
Along with RR, I doubt ObamaCare will ever be repealed under Mitt Romney. And along with RR, I agree Newt was not a true supporter of the Massachusetts law. Another quote:
Regardless of what what Romney’s PAC-attack buddies might try to tell you, Newt Gingrich DID NOT support RomneyCare in any sort of unqualified manner- rather, he observed numerous potential pitfalls. Gingrich did see merit in it’s goals, (wider coverage and lower costs) just like how Dems and Republicans both say they want the country to be ‘wealthy, healthy, and at peace’… while often diametrically opposed on how to get there.
RR links to a good article on what Newt did and didn’t say, and it comes from Newt’s own comprehensive words in 2006. I hope you will read it all at Reaganite Republican and be sure to click the words “it’s goals.” We have no more important time than now through Super Tuesday on March 6th.
There is still time to understand that Mitt Romney is by far not our only, or best, great hope to win over Obama. If you want to read political fiction, read Brad Thor.
