Jan Brewer Letter to Obama

Governor Jan Brewer has released the text of the letter she wrote and handed to Barack Obama on the Phoenix tarmac – the encounter that shot her book Scorpions for Breakfast to No. 10 on Amazon’s Best Seller List. Proper admonishment for a President who is rutinely aloof and condescending to Republican Governors, and sues states with the relish of swigging down a favorite beer. Remember, after inviting Brewer to the White House and promising a reply to her in two weeks time, the only reply was a lawsuit, without a single personal word to the Governor or the People of the Great State of Arizona.

Letter Text:

Dear Mr. President,

Welcome to Arizona! You‘ve arrived in a state at the forefront of America’s recovery — and her future. We were at the brink. We were at the bottom of the list in job creation. Today, we have a balanced budget and we’re in the top 10 for job creation.

I’m proud of that hard-won recovery — the result of many tough decisions, courage and perseverance.

My hope is while you are here you will have a chance to see our tremendous results first hand.

We both love the great country, but we fundamentally disagree on how to best make America grow and prosper once again. I‘d love an opportunity to share with you how we’ve been able to turn Arizona around with hard choices that turned out to be the right ones.

And, of course, my offer to visit the border — and buy lunch — still stands!

With respect,

  • She is a class act … and well, we all know what he is. He acts like a spoiled child.

    • Carl, I listened to O’Reilly last night with Leslie Marshall and Janine Turner. Democrat Marshall said Brewer didn’t complain after leaving the White House when the press interviewed her. That’s because Brewer was properly respecting the office. Brewer said Obama promised to get back to her in two weeks. He never did so. His only reply was a lawsuit, issued with no personal contact. Then she wrote her book and told the real story. O’Reilly knew none of that. I tweeted them both. You’d think O’Reilly would have a better grasp.

  • The only thing he was worried about.. not jobs… not recovery… not the border, but what she said about this egotist in her book that he never read.. Says it all.. don’t it?

  • Oh.. did I mention, I’m not voting for Obama… lol

    • Can so rlaete with you! So great reading someone else's experience w/ friendships as a mother and woman. How time changes things…Candace

Obama has had his time in office, now it’s time to give somebody else a chance to run things. Let’s be honest, things have gotten MUCH worse under his term, and it’s not just because he “inherited” lots of problems from George W.
