You have to love this. Mayor Bloomberg says the Wall Street occupiers are hurting New York’s economy, and the park hasn’t been cleaned in 3 weeks. Eeeewwwww! Twenty days into the Assault of the Sleepingbaggers, the magnificently wealthy Michael Bloomberg is unhappy with the chaos in his City. Nevertheless, he is sympathetic to “some” of the protester’s complaints. The bill for police overtime has already reached $2 Million. Sanitary conditions in Zuchotti Park have reached “unacceptable levels.” Visions of the Wisconsin Capitol building when sleepingbaggers took over. Such a beautiful Capitol building and it was filthy. Stark, stark contrast to any Tea Party rally. About that NYPD vehicle. Taxpayers get to clean it up. See the pic below.
“What they’re trying to do is to take the jobs away from people working in the city. They’re trying to take away the tax base we have because none of this is good for tourism,†he said. “There’s no easy solutions here.â€
The mayor continued his criticism saying “if the jobs they are trying to get rid of in this city, the people that work in finance — which is a big part of our economy — go away, we’re not going to have any money to pay our municipal employees or clean the parks or anything else.â€
