Another year, and Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad again stood at the United Nations General Assembly podium and said September 11, 2001 was a “mystery.” That’s when our delegation decided to get righteous and walk out. Year-after-year this has happened. Why are we in the same room with this man?
The claim so angered the U.S., coming barely a week after the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, that the entire American delegation walked out while Ahmadinejad was still speaking.
In a speech full of questions which were no more than thinly veiled attacks on the U.S. he asked the UN who had used the “mysterious September 11 incident” as a precursor to war and to dominate the Middle East?
Tsk tsk. We were “so angered” that we walked out. There was more about Zionism and the ruse of the Holocaust. The leadership in this country is pitiful and powerless. We know what happens when the Iranian monkey comes to the U.N., so why were we there in the first place? Source: Daily Mail
In March 2010 Ahmadinejad said with “gods grace,” Israel will be annihilated and “Palestinians will be rid of “its bad omen.” And we show up for his U.N. performance each year. Pitiful and Powerless. That’s the U.S. today.
