Harry Reid: Tea Party Agenda Dead

Nevada Senator Harry Reid (D) told an online news source which shall remain nameless because they allow their copyright to be purchased (or something) by a group of attorneys who sue bloggers for linking or quoting, that the Tea Party movement will not last and will lose some seats in Congress in the November 2012 elections. Reid said as long as he is the Senate majority leader, the Tea Party is dead in the water. Of course there is no Tea Party party – just legislators who would like to see their proposed legislation have a fair vote in both chambers of Congress, as the Founders planned. See an update below.

Harry Reid

The unnamed news source, in my opinion, declares Reid kinda/sorta impossibly stupid to believe the Tea Party movement will have little to no impact on the elections, and they point out that Reid has been know for some tactical fibbing in the past.

UPDATE: The fearless Other McCain has linked “the source” and has revealed the “stunning truth of Harry Reid’s Tippy-Top Secret Undsiclosed Location. Read it here.

    • LibertyAtStake, he’s a piece of work, isn’t he? I’m glad he kept the majority position, so that he can see up-close-and personal, how much he loses in November 2012.

  • Have you noticed Harry Reid’s obsession with the Tea Party ever since his re-election scare in 2010?

    • Holger, yes I have noticed and the TP put a hitch in his giddy-up. The thing we have to overcome in Nevada are the Reid busses hauling all the casino workers to the polls.

  • The old political class should be terrified of the Tea Party. Demonizing them shows just how desperate these people are to hang on to the status quo…

    • Manhattan Beach Realtor, I think the old fossils in both parties are terrified of the Tea Party. They know their power wanes when Tea Party principles are sent to Washington, D.C.
