How stupid do you have to be to hire an assassin on Facebook? And how much stupider do you have to be to accept the job…on Facebook, as it is alleged Timothy Bynum did, or at least showed interest in – but he wanted the money first? A Philadelphia man, Corey White, is dead after his ‘baby mamma,’ London Eley (or Eleye) allegedly tried to hire (or did hire) an assassin through a Facebook posting. White was shot once in the chest when a man in a ‘brown car’ got out and shot him dead. It is not known whether the killer is Timothy Bynum (whose attorney and family say Bynum had ‘no intention of collecting the offered $1000 fee, to which he responded on Facebook).
Here’s the kicker: The offer and threat of murder had already made its way to court. The murder happened just “hours after a judge upheld felony charges” against Eley/Eleye and Bynum.
“I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father,” Eley wrote in a post this spring, according to a police affidavit. She was asked by several people if she really wanted White dead and she responded: “DEAD. HATE HIM!” [the posting on Facebook happened in May 2011]
“Say no more … what he look like … where he be at … need that stack 1st,” Bynum wrote back, police said.
It appears that Eleye and Bynum have been in jail since police began investigating. They found a .22 caliber handgun in Bynum’s home but his mother says the 18-year-old didn’t know what White looked like, and you can’t kill a person “if you don’t know what the person looks like.”
