This Rule 5 is a tribute to our military. A portion came in an email, and some is my own. It speaks for itself.
Visit my friends hosting traditional Rule 5’s this weekend. See a list below the photos.
WHEN A SOLDIER COMES HOME
When a soldier comes home, he finds it hard….to listen to his son whine about being bored
…to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes
…be silent when people pray to God for a new car.
…be compassionate when a businessman expresses a fear of flying.
…to keep from laughing when anxious parents say they’re afraid to send their kids off to summer camp.
…to keep from ridiculing someone who complains about hot weather.
…to control his frustration when a colleague gripes about his coffee being cold.
…to remain calm when his daughter complains about having to walk the dog.
…to be civil to people who complain about their jobs.
…..to just walk away when someone says they only get two weeks of vacation a year.
…to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house.
The only thing harder than being a soldier…
…is loving one
Note that today’s Rule 5, is not the traditional Rule 5: Rule 5 posts have to do with pretty girls or beautiful women – whichever you prefer. RS McCain at The Other McCain says I will undoubtedly get a million hits if I join Rule 5′ers, and mix it up a little bit with Rules 1, 2, 3, and 4, because only a few can handle all politics, all the time.
The links below will be updated as each blogger posts this weekend’s Rule 5s.
Since today’s post is truly a tribute to our Military, rather than a traditional Rule 5 post, please note that many of my friends linked below may have some risque business going on at their place. If that offends you, in light of this the tone of this post, please don’t click the link.
The Other McCain is the master aggregator of all things Rule 5: This week find Rule 5’s I’ve missed at Rule 5 Sunday: Navigator.
Opus at American Perspective is my Rule 5 mentor. She showed me how to do it right with this post. This week Opie says goodbye and good riddance to Voldemort. She’s glad to get Ralph Feinnes back! He is a gorgeous guy and an incredible talent.
Donald Douglas at American Power has Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake Sex Scenes in Friends with Benefits (BTW, Mila says she is going to the Marine ball with Marine Scott Moore) There’s a Rule 5 too: Ann V Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
Theo Spark’s Saturday Totty, Saturday Night is Bath Night, and some Bedtime Totty and another Bedtime Totty. Along with American Power Blog, Theo has the sex scenes video with Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake.
The POH Diaries has Mila Kunis, and the story of the Marine Ball. There may be more to come this weekend.
