Lockerbie Bomber Targeted by Libyan Rebels in Deal with Obama: Abdelbaset Al Megrahi Pan Am Flt 103 Bomber Sought by Libyan Rebels

The story in The Mail today is that Barack Obama has a deal with Libyan rebels to detain and turnover the released Lockerbie bomber, Abdelbaset Al Megrahi, to the U.S. At risk to the rebels is continued U.S. support in the fight to oust Libyan dictator, Muammar Gaddafi.

Abdelbaset al-Megrahi Returns to Cheering Crowd in Libya

TheMailOnline:

Senior Congressional sources in Washington have disclosed to The Mail on Sunday that President Obama has told the Libyan rebels through intermediaries that a condition of continued support from the US is that they must hand over Megrahi if they enter Tripoli.

Megrahi was the only person convicted of the downing of Pan Am Flight 103, killing hundreds of Americans over the town of Lockerbie, Scotland and 11 on the ground.

Abdel Basset al-Megrahi was imprisoned in Scotland. Then the Brits needed oil, and Muammar Gaddafi refused British oil company, BP, their contracted right to drill in Libyan coastal waters. It is believed British officials worked a “deal.” A doctor said that Megrahi was suffering from terminal prostate cancer. Megrahi was released from prison and sent home to Libya. BP got to drill. Now, years later, Megrahi is still alive and well somewhere in Libya, and believed to be in the New Damascus district of Tripoli.

Barack Obama received $77,051.00 in campaign funds from BP. Obama could have said the word, just a simple ‘no,’ and surely Megrahi would have not been released. Now he sees political fortune, to be the man who puts the Lockerbie bomber on trial in the U.S. If this story of an Obama bounty on Abdelbaset al-Megrahi is true, can it get anymore emotional than this:

The Lockerbie bombing, also known as Pan Am 103, killed 190 Americans, 35 of whom were students of Syracuse University, 4 from Colgate University, 4 from Brown University, 2 from Seton Hill University and 2 from State University of New York at Oswego and 1 from Hampshire College. Ten on the flight were residents of Long Island.

According to the MailOnline article, the Obama bounty was let after Gaddafi threatened to take the war to Europe and target “homes and offices.” What does that have to do with the U.S. withdrawing “support” if Megrahi doesn’t land in our hands?
