We are reminded that Muslim men are privy to up to four wives, and when they immigrate to the U.S. they likely bring however many they have with them. Since U.S. law frowns on multiple wives, the man can only claim one. The others are perhaps claimed as sisters or cousins (which is probably the truth). The article suggests many of them eventually move to Michigan where they can be among a large host of Muslims. That’s where the ‘Press 3 for Arabic comes in. From Then there is the 50,000 who hit it big in the U.S. Diversity Lottery, and the U.S. House trying to HALT Obama’s immigration powers.
Michigan has the highest population of Muslims in the United States. When President Obama took office, the United States paid several millions of dollars to have a large number of Palestinians, (all Muslim), immigrated here from Palestine. Why? I have no idea. Do you? We don’t pay for other persons to immigrate here, and I’m sure that some of those Muslims moved into Michigan with the large current number of Muslims already established there.
So now in Michigan, when you call the Public Assistance office you are told to “Press 1 for English. Press 2 for Spanish, or Press 3 for Arabic”!
Perhaps there has been more than one time Obama has allow a large number of Palestinians to enter the U.S. as refugees, but this document, dated February 4, 2009 Federal Register (Volume 74, Number 22) was signed only 6 days after Obama took office. The answer to the question above: Why? were they allowed to come, is that it was an “Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related To Gaza,” and classified as humanitarian need.
See, it was an emergency, just as prohibiting the Mexico City Policy was an emergency. We had to pay for abortions in foreign lands, pronto, with our foreign aid, and the policy was struck down even sooner than unfortunate Palestinians were invited to our shores.

Presidential Determination No. 2009-15 of January 27, 2009
Unexpected Urgent Refugee and Migration Needs Related to Gaza
Memorandum for the Secretary of State
By the authority vested in me by the Constitution and the laws of the United States, including section 2(c)(1) of the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962 (the “Act”), as amended (22 U.S.C. 2601), I hereby determine, pursuant to section 2 (c) (1) of the Act, that it is important to the national interest to furnish assistance under the Act in an amount not to exceed $20.3 million from the United States Emergency Refugee and Migration Assistance Fund for the purpose of meeting unexpected and urgent refugee and migration needs, including by contributions to international, governmental, and nongovernmental organizations and payment of administrative expenses of Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration of the Department of State, related to humanitarian needs of Palestinian refugees and conflict victims in Gaza.
Every year in its infinite wisdom, the US State Department runs a lottery for immigrants to come to the US PERMANENTLY called the Diversity Visa Lottery (because we don’t have enough diversity!). Go, here (faint of heart? do not open!) and see the list of the one hundred thousand semi-finalists in the 2011 lottery (12.1 million applied).
Just for fun I picked out the countries with the most applicants in the final round:
Remember all the Somalis our government has brought to the U.S., bringing their tuberculosis with them? The good news is, some have gone back home…to train to be jihadists. No doubt they’ll be back, but I digress, there is more from Refugee Resettlement Watch on May 17, 2011:
Last week the US State Department held its annual hearing to determine the number of refugees to be resettled in FY2012. I gather it was livelier than usual for several reasons (further news in the near future). But, now I see that Steve Emerson’s Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) had someone in attendance.
The State Department’s Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM) held a public meeting on U.S. refugee policy May 12 in Arlington, Va. The Investigative Project on Terrorism attended the meeting (held in conjunction with the departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services) after a veteran DHS official privately expressed concern that the United States has no idea whether it is admitting Somali jihadists as “refugees.”
This United States admitted tens of thousands of Somalis into the United States since 2002, the official says. But it is impossible to verify their identity because Somalia has long been a state without a functioning government and it does not keep usable birth records. If only a miniscule percentage of these people turn out to have been involved with al-Shabaab or other extremist groups, the United States may have admitted dozens of potential terrorists, the official says.
The hearing was supposed to chart the government’s course on refugee policy for the coming fiscal year but it did not do so. In fact, there was virtually no testimony at all about al-Shabaab.
The report is rich with details, including a link to the other 100,000 Somalis admitted to this country and the years they came.
The stories like these would take pages to report, so we have to take them one at a time, because after all, we are “just” bloggers, and the media certainly will not make the numbers known.
Congressman Lamar Smith (R-TX) introduced legislation last week to restrict Obama’s executive power to flood the country with immigrants. The Hinder the Administration’s Legalization Temptation (HALT) Act (H.R.2497) will return the power to the president occupying the Oval Office in January 22, 2013. It’s racist, don’t you know?
