Fast and Furious: FBI Sells Guns to Convicted Felons

The BATF (ATF) program known as Fast and Furious continues to morph into a creepy and lawless tale of guns sold by the government with taxpayer funds, to straw buyers (buyers buying weapons for someone else – gun trafficking), some of whom were convicted felons. At least 360 military-style weapons were sold to two such felons as a part of a government program. See a video report below.

Operation Fast and Furious

Fox News:

…according to court records reviewed by Fox News, two of the 20 defendants indicted in the Fast and Furious investigation have felony convictions and criminal backgrounds that experts say, at the very least, should have delayed them buying a single firearm. Instead, the duo bought dozens of guns on multiple occasions while federal officials watched on closed-circuit cameras.

Congressional and law-enforcement sources say the situation suggests the FBI, which operates the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, knowingly allowed the purchases to go forward after consulting with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which initiated Operation Fast and Furious…

When asked about the breakdown, Stephen Fischer, a spokesman for the NICS System, said the FBI had no comment. However, an ATF agent who worked on the Fast and Furious investigation, told Fox News that NICS [National Criminal Background Check System] officials called the ATF in Phoenix whenever their suspects tried to buy a gun. That conversation typically led to a green light for the buyers, when it should have stopped them.

11: 25 am CDT: Sen. Charles Grassley (R-IA) is on Fox this minute saying a wiretap they now have proves that someone in the Department of Justice, at a higher level than previously confirmed, is now implicated. Grassley says of the guns (2,000+) that the ATF sent illegally across the U.S.-Mexico border to drug cartels, only a few have been recovered, and the weapons will be used against innocent people for decades. Grassley is asking the person responsible in the DOJ to come forward.

If you think these dangerous characters involved in Fast and Furious are all down in the border regions, you are wrong. Bob Owens at Pajamas Media has a report that weapons purchased in the Dallas have been shipped through El Paso – and have made their way to the violent Zetas (Los Zetas Cartel) which is known for their highly trained gunmen fond of assassinations, kidnapping, drug trafficking and and all manner of terror. Check in with Si Vis Pacem for ongoing updates on Fast and Furious from all news sources.

  • I’ve recently learned that this is nothing new. From Antony Sutton:

Another case of revolution supported by New York financial institutions concerned that of Mexico in 1915-16. Von Rintelen, a German espionage agent in the United States, was accused during his May 1917 trial in New York City of attempting to “embroil” the U.S. with Mexico and Japan in order to divert ammunition then flowing to the Allies in Europe. Payment for the ammunition that was shipped from the United States to the Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa, was made through Guaranty Trust Company. Von Rintelen’s adviser, Sommerfeld, paid $380,000 via Guaranty Trust and Mississippi Valley Trust Company to the Western Cartridge Company of Alton, Illinois, for ammunition shipped to El Paso, for forwarding to Villa. This was in mid-1915. On January 10, 1916, Villa murdered seventeen American miners at Santa Isabel and on March 9, 1916, Villa raided Columbus, New Mexico, and killed eighteen more Americans.

Big time commie, Lincoln Steffens writes to the power behind the throne, Col House (10/6/16):

    My dear Colonel House:
Just before I left New York last Monday, I was told convincingly that “Wall Street” had completed arrangements for one more raid of Mexican bandits into the United States: to be so timed and so atrocious that it would settle the election ….

    • republican Mother: Someone should be paying you bit money to do their research for them:-)

“Wall Street” had completed arrangements for one more raid of Mexican bandits into the United States: to be so timed and so atrocious that it would settle the election ….”

Sigh. Nothing ever changes. Perhaps one difference today is that millions now live along these borders and are in great peril at the hands of our government’s folly.

  • Why oh why is no one pushing for impeachment?
Is this gun-running issue not enough on its own?
Or dropping of the Black Panther voter intimidation case?
Or the fraudulent birth certificate that finally came out?

The reason is simple. Obama’s huge infrastructure, the one
that pushed him from becoming an “organizer” to become
president, while hiding all documents that can vet this man,
while all his friends are known anti-Americans, while the
country swerves into godless atheism, with abortion, homosexual
marriage, flag-banning, etc. prohibit this process from ever
    coming to the starting gate.

They will win in 2012! Because they are extremely powerful already.
They merely keep a low profile until the 2012 elections get underway.
And by then, kiss America goodbye!
