The Obama Department of Justice is readying to release a very dangerous al-Qaeda, U.S. citizen from a SuperMax prison in Colorado. Abdurahman Alamoudi is the FOUNDER of the American Muslim Council and the American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council (AMAFVAC). Through that organization he was able to “certify” Muslim chaplains for the military. Alamoudi has served only nine years of a 23 year sentence. His conviction was for conspiring to kill the future king of Saudi Arabia, Crown Prince Abdullah, now King Abdullah. While I’m not fond of feeding and housing a man for crimes against Saudi royalty, Alamoudi has been deeply entrenched in jihad in the U.S. and was a top financier for al-Qaeda. Please read more about his connections and conviction below. Prepare to be outraged, because this man may be your neighbor, with heightened danger if you live in his hometown of Falls Church, Virginia. Everyone, please call the White House switchboard 202-456-1414 and protest releasing this man. Leave a clear and polite message. Here’s mine: “Do not release al-Qaeda terrorist and jihadist, Abdurahman Alamoudi. His sentence has already been negotiated-down for providing intel to the U.S. Do not allow him to walk the streets of America.”
Some have suggested that the Justice Department has filed the motion to reduce Alamoudi’s sentence because he has somehow helped the U.S. in its war against militant Islam.
There are several problems with that idea not the least of which is that the motion is “sealed” (or confidential) and so no one will ever know what he could possibly tell us that would be of any value after he’s been in prison for nine years.
The other big problem I see is that, according to the Justice Department’s own website, Alamoudi’s original plea deal already contained a requirement that he cooperate with the government in its investigations. Alamoudi should not be entitled to special treatment for something he already agreed to do earlier…
We believe that releasing Alamoudi might be the first step in a bigger scheme by the Obama Administration in its plan to work more closely with the Muslim Brotherhood both here and abroad.
In fact, we suspect that this may be a test to see how the public reacts and, if Obama gets by with releasing Alamoudi, he may eventually try to release the “Blind Sheik” to appease the MB. You may recall that the “Blind Sheik” was the mastermind behind the first Twin Towers bombing in ‘93 and that he, too, is serving time in Supermax.
Born in Eritrea, Abdurahman Alamoudi immigrated to the United States in 1979 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1996. From 1985 to 1990, he served as executive assistant to the president of the SAAR Foundation in northern Virginia…
During the 1992 presidential election cycle, Alamoudi courted both the Democratic and Republican parties. When Bill Clinton emerged victorious, Alamoudi increased his donations to Democrats. He went on to serve the Clinton administration as an Islamic-affairs adviser and a State Department “goodwill ambassador” to Muslim nations.
In 1993 the Defense Department certified Alamoudi’s AMAFVAC as one of two organizations–along with the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences–authorized to approve and endorse Muslim chaplains. Among the chaplains endorsed by Alamoudi’s group was James Yee, who eventually would be arrested in 2003 on suspicion of espionage.
In March 1993 Alamoudi disparaged the federal government for the “flimsy” evidence it had used as a basis for arresting Mohammed Salameh, a suspect in the World Trade Center bombing of February 26. Samameh was later convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
In 1995 Alamoudi helped President Clinton and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) develop a presidential guideline entitled “Religious Expression in Public School,” which established a legal justification upon which the ACLU could file lawsuits restricting Christmas celebrations and removing Nativity scenes from public schools.
Ask yourself why the Obama administration wants this man released? While I don’t give a fig about Abdullah, I do care that this man is a naturalized citizen who has close ties with terrorists all around the world, including Musa Abu Marzook, another naturalized citizen, now deported for his connections to Hamas and the Holy Land Foundation. Abdurahman Alamoudi is a supporter of Hamas.
As President Clinton’s second term drew to a close in the late Nineties, Alamoudi sought to ensure that his own access and influence at senior levels of the U.S. government would continue even if a Republican were to capture the White House in 2000. To cover that possibility, Alamoudi provided some $20,000 in seed money (in checks drawn on a Saudi bank account) to help conservative activist Grove.
About his conviction (Discover the Networks – see link above):
In September 2003, British customs officials arrested Alamoudi at Heathrow Airport as he was returning from Libya with $340,000 in cash given to him by President Muammar Qadhafi to finance a plot involving two U.K.-based al Qaeda operatives intending to assassinate Saudi Crown Prince (later King) Abdullah…
Alamoudi was indicted not only for his illegal dealings with Libya, but also for tax evasion and immigration fraud. He ultimately pled guilty to, and was convicted of, being a senior al Qaeda financier who had funneled at least $1 million into the coffers of that terrorist organization. He also acknowledged that he had pocketed almost $1 million for himself in the process. In October 2004, Alamoudi was sentenced to 23 years in federal prison.
Can it be precluded that, once he is freed, Alamoudi would take up again with those he did so much to help sponsor, foster and run as one of the leading Muslim Brothers in the country? Lest we forget, as a driving force behind many of the myriad MB front organizations in the United States, he previously was deeply involved with the fulfillment of the Ikhwan’s mission here as described in its 1991 strategic plan.
That plan, which was found by the FBI in 2004 when they discovered the secret archives of the Muslim Brotherhood in Annandale, Virginia, is entitled An Explanatory Memorandum On the General Strategic Goal for the Group in North America. (It is reprinted in its entirety as Appendix 2 of Shariah: The Threat to America, ShariahtheThreat.com.) According to this memorandum, the Brotherhood’s mission in America is “a kind of grand jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within…by their [read, our] hands and the hands of the believers.”
This objective is, of course, identical to that of al Qaeda, the other jihadist enterprise for whom Alamoudi previously worked. Who knows, if freed, could he rejoin its ranks, too?…
The Defense Department allows only the Graduate School for Islamic Social Sciences (GSISS) and the American Muslim Armed Forces and Veterans Affairs Council (AMAFVAC), a subgroup of the American Muslim Foundation (AMF), to provide Muslim clerics with that ecclesiastical endorsement. The US Bureau of Prisons, the other federal entity that hires religious ministers, also relies on the GSISS as well as the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) to hire Muslim clerics for the federal prison system.
The suspected Fort Hood terrorist served as a lay Muslim leader running Islamic services on the base in the absence of the Muslim chaplain, WND has learned. He also mentored at least one young convert to Islam whose parents worked at the sprawling Texas post.
Hasan’s religious activities raise the specter that others may have been radicalized, investigators worry. There are nearly 50 Muslim soldiers serving on the base.
Don’t forget to make the phone call to the White House 202-456-1414. Remind them that Abdurahman Alamoudi’s sentence has already been pled down, and he should receive no special assistance. We do not want a convicted al-Qaeda financier and terrorist-plotter living among us. Tell your friends. We need the White House switchboard to light up.
