Some very big names in Hollywood are implicated in illegal gambling. Spider-Man star, Tobey Maguire, has been sued after winning more than $300,000 in a high-stakes, no-limit game with a $100,000 buy-in. Matt Damon, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ben Affleck are not a part of the lawsuit, but reportedly a part of the “ring.”

Maguire, 35, won more than $300,000 from a Beverly Hills hedge fund manager who embezzled investor funds and orchestrated a Ponzi scheme in a desperate bid to pay off his monster debt to the star and others, it’s alleged.
An FBI investigation into Brad Ruderman, the CEO of Ruderman Capital Partners, uncovered how he lost $25 million of investor money in clandestine poker games held on a twice weekly basis in suites at the luxury Beverly Hills hotel, Four Seasons, and the Viper Room on Sunset Boulevard.
While only Maguire is mentioned among these four, others are included in the lawsuit. Nick Cassavetes, The Notebook director and Gabe Kaplan of Welcome Back Cotter are two of the higher profiles.
Geeez! Embezzelment, illegal gambling, clandestine meetings, secret societies! These golden boys have too much time on their hands.
