Troopathon IV: My First – Please Participate – Care Packages for Troops

Just as I signed on to my first Troopathon, I left for a pre-planned two-week vacation. I didn’t know the details and didn’t know which team I would be a part of. Returning yesterday, I was proud and humbled to find that my team, The Hot Air Steamers, consists of these outstanding bloggers: Hot Air, The Lonely Conservative and No Sheeples Here. See a video below.

June 23rd is the date for the actual live Troopathon. On that date, The Hot Air Steamers will learn how we measured up against the competition – also working hard to raise funds for this important effort. The other teams are: The COINS, Team 6, The Greyhawks, The Anti-Jihadists and The Freepers (Free Republic).

From No Sheeples Here:

You can help make the daily routine of our troops a little more bearable and thank them for their service all at the same time.

Items the military does not provide for our troops but which they really appreciate getting include: gourmet organic coffee, Oreo Cookies™, deodorant, candy, Diplomacy Jelly Belly Jelly Beans™, hot chocolate, hot apple cider, wet wipes, sunblock, battery operated fans, Gatorade™, Painted Hills Beef Jerky™, Chap Stick™, Planters Trail Mix™, Ocean Spray Craisins Trail Mix™, bug repellent, “For The Troops” CDs, Diana Nagy “The Journey of Life” CDs and foot powder.

Most importantly, each care package will include a personal message written by you where you can express your gratitude to our military.

The Troopathon is sponsored by Melanie Morgan and Move America Forward, a 501(C)3 charity, which means your donation is tax deductible.

Troopathon IV (2011)

The event will stream-live on June 23rd and has the support of many high-profile Conservatives: Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levine, Dennis Miller, and Gary Sinise, just to name a few. Your donation, no matter how large or small, will mean so much. The goal is to send more care packages this year than ever before. This is a small thing that brings such pleasure and comfort to our military.

While this is a competition among bloggers with the goal of doing the most we can for the troops, everyone wins with your help. The only thing the teams receive from the competition is the satisfaction of knowing we helped to raise money for those who put themselves in harm’s way for the sake of their country.

Please, please consider joining us by sending a care package. Click the Troopathon badge above or click here for details. It takes less than 3 minutes to complete your donation.
