In Egypt, this is the reality of the so-called Arab Spring: Torture. The Modesty Police hit the streets several months ago. In the video you will see and hear both men and women who have been beaten, subjected to body cavity searches and “virginity checks” for women.

According to this CNN article, an unnamed Egyptian general, who fears being identified, has admitted that the “virginity checks” have been committed against women who were arrested for demonstrating. The unnamed general also defended the practice because the women checked were inferior – none of those checked were virgins:
It claimed female demonstrators were beaten, given electric shocks, strip-searched, threatened with prostitution charges and forced to submit to virginity checks…
“The girls who were detained were not like your daughter or mine,” the general said. “These were girls who had camped out in tents with male protesters in Tahrir Square, and we found in the tents Molotov cocktails and (drugs).”
This evil wrapped in the skin of Islam is prevailing in this much-hyped Arab Spring. The revolutionaries will not accomplish liberty until they put secular leaders into office, and get adherence to Islam wholly erased out of their governance – banned from police and all authority. We know how people gain freedom and justice. Islam offers none of it.
