Two Scientists Debate the Nuclear Threat in Japan Video

I haven’t written much about the nuclear situation in Japan because I do not understand the science of the threat. This video is a very interesting discussion between two opposing scientists. Bill Hemmer moderates. In my mind, any threat is too much, and I’m puzzled why the U.S. hasn’t told Americans to leave Japan. Having said that, the scientist on the right of the screen, Dr. Arjun Makhijani, is a whiney primadonna – no doubt a Progressive. Dr. Jay Lehr seems to be a voice of reason…assuming he is correct. What do you think?

Dr. Makhijani is an electrical and nuclear engineer and president of the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research. Dr. Jay Lehr has spent his life involved in Environment Science and Health Technology and is Science Director of the Heartland Institute and President of Environmental Education Enterprises.
