A twitterer with the moniker @MayorEmanuel making big news, as Rahm Emanuel, the object of @MayorEmanuel’saffection offers $2500 to know who is so “hilariously” and “profanely” making fun of him. The tweeter may even use the f-bomb more often than Rahm himself.
Not only is Rahm Emanuel as curious as anyone else about who’s behind the hilariously profane @MayorEmanuel Twitterentries, the mayoral candidate also is willing to put his money where his awfully polite-at-least-in-public mouth is.
Emanuel told Roe Conn and Richard Roeper on WLS-AM 890 Tuesday, and reiterated to John Williams on WGN-AM 720 Wednesday, that he’ll make a donation to charity if the tweeter reveals his/her/their identity after the election.
“I will offer a $2,500 or $5,000 personal contribution to the charity of that individual’s choice if they will make public who they are,” Emanuel told Conn and Roeper, adding that the tweets always make him smile.
@MayorEmanuel, who spent Wednesday tweeting his hallucinations after an ill-advised hide-and-seek game left him stuck in a box of baby clothes in his old building’s basement crawl space, is closing in on 27,000 followers, compared with 7,600-plus for the actual candidate.
