Egypt: All Treaties Continued: Protests End

Egypt Celebrates

Important news, if true. The Supreme Council of the Egyptian Army says they are committed to all treaties – both regional and international. The announcement was made in “Communique Number 4” on state television.  Now the challenge will be to hold free and fair elections and elect someone who shares this commitment. Fox is announcing the demonstrators will end their protests, go back home and to work. Source.

  • All was fine in 1979 when the Shah left. 30 days later then Khomeini returned and any hope for democracy and freedom went out the window. The same will happen to Egypt.

  • I hope Findalis is wrong. Unfortunately it is quite possible that what happened in Iran will happen in Egypt also. Maybe, the military in Egypt won’t let the same thing happen, though.
