Dr. Len Nichols, a “health care economist,” a professor at George Mason University and Director of the Center for Health Policy Research and Ethics there, told NPR that Americans who refuse the mandate to buy ObamaCare should be forced to wear gold stars on their foreheads, and be refused emergency hospital treatment.

For example, he says, perhaps if people don’t buy insurance when it is first available, “if you ever try to buy insurance again, you’ll have to pay three times the market price, and we will put a gold sticker on your forehead and say to all hospitals, ‘You do not have to treat this person; this person has forfeited their right to uncompensated care.’ â€

Considered a “badge of shame” – the shame of being a child of God, a similar badge was also compulsory for Jews at times during the Middle Ages. Man’s inhumanity to man is incomprehensible. Dr. Nichols remarks are incomprehensible. Can a man of Nichols’ age, and with Nichols’ education, not be sensitive to the images his comment dredges up? Unbelievable, really.
It fits perfectly with an article by Van Helsing writing at American Digest. Here’s a snippet:

Of the article quoted above, One Cosmos suggests Van Helsing has stumbled onto a forumla proving that the Left not only “rejects the notion of sin, but elevates it to virtue.” I note that Evil does the same.
Can you imagine the outrage if Sarah Palin had said everyone agreeing to the ObamaCare mandate should wear little gold stars on their foreheads?…the better to know who you are, my dear. Or what if Michele Bachmann wanted to put gold stickers on the foreheads of everyone in Congress who voted for ObamaCare? Or what if Senator Tom Coburn, a medical doctor, introduced legislation to refuse emergency care to all those who cannot afford to pay?
