The Network of Spiritual Progressives (who knew?) has a Global Marshall Plan and it is backed up by US House Resolution 1078 1016, which was introduced in the House in the 110th Congress and was brought back in the 111th Congress.
The Global Marshall Plan would fund the world’s dictators. If that were not so, we wouldn’t have poverty. Trillions go to these impoverished countries throughout the world, even the worst in the world. The Global Village gets nothing. Rogue leaders arm themselves, buy French brandy then rape the women and children.
Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn) is the House sponsor. There are 14 sponsors, all Democrats. The original Marsall Plan was a program to rebuild Europe after World II, and was named for Secretary of State George Marshall.
You will feel all warm and fuzzy to know that “The Plan” has a “Strategy of Generosity,” using your money. The Progessive Spirituals want 1%-2% of U.S. GDP, every year, to irridicate poverty, illiteracy and environmental destruction. Military spending will be restrained to meet that goal, and we will be rebuilding “vital infrastructure” around the world. From the Resolution:
Whereas in accepting the Nobel Peace Prize on December 10, 2009, President Barack Obama stated that `a just peace includes not only civil and political rights–it must encompass economic security and opportunity. For true peace is not just freedom from fear, but freedom from want’;
The Global Marshall plan resolution mimics the U.N.’s Millennium Development Goal (read the UNMDG text here).
The Network of Spiritual Progressives is calling for social justic, an end to aid to Israel, they champion Israeli’s who “stand up for the human rights of Palestinians,” “they abhor insisting that Palestinians accept the Jewish State of Israel, and they say they are “spiritual” but not “religious.
