A Sudanese newspaper printed an email calling for protests in Khartoum and Omdurman on Sunday. Emails are flying, and Facebook is the place where protesters are finding their information. TinyUrl has been blocked in Sudan for three days, which would affect Tweets. Sources are expecting a communications blackout in Sudan as well. This report says that over 8,000 people have signed up on Facebook to be in the streets tomorrow. I’m looking for the Facebook page and will post it if possible. I will have ongoing updates as available.
An email circulating:
‘Everyone could do something positive’ the email said, ‘we shall rise and leave behind passiveness… We have to do this, for our children to live with dignity… for us to live the life that every human deserves.’
‘If the Egyptians can break the fear barrier… so can we. WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR!!!’
