Port Orchard, Wash. Deputy Sheriff Dead in Wal-Mart Shooting

A shooting in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Port Orchard, Washington reportedly killed a sheriff’s deputy and a Tacoma hospital is expecting to receive additional victims. KOMO now reports at least three injured, including possibly another sheriff’s deputy. Witnesses said one shot was fired, followed by 6 more in rapid succession. There is no information about the suspected shooter.

UPDATE 6:40 p.m. CDT: The gunman reportedly was seen running towards a wooded area and shooting backwards toward the Wal-Mart.

UPDATE 6:55 p.m. CDT: Two deputies shot, shooter dead.

UPDATE 8:50 CDT: A young woman or teenager who was at the scene also died later at Tacoma General Hospital of gunshot wounds she sustained in the shoot-out.

UPDATE 9:45 CDT: The gunman is reportedly dead.
