Detroit Police Station Shooting: Commander Brian Davis, Officer Dave Anderson Injured, 2 Grazed

A man walked into a N.W. Detroit police station at about 4:30pm Detroit time this afternoon and shot the Commander Brian Davis and Officer Dave Anderson. Updated reports coming out of Detroit say four police officers were shot inside the 6th Precinct. Fox News is reporting that the injuries are not life threatening. See a video below.

Detroit Police Officers Shot

Davis was shot in the hand and side is in surgery tonight. Anderson received a bullet to the head but sources say he is alert and moving all of his limbs. Two others were “grazed” and have minor wounds.

Both men are in Detroit’s Sinai Grace Hospital. A press conference outside the hospital is expected shortly. Police returned fire and the unnamed gunman is dead.

The 6th precinct is located west of the Southfield Freeway and south of Interstate 96. There were no metal detectors at the station. Updates as available.
