I’m listening to Megyn Kelly and Stuart Varney discuss this issue of illegal children costing LA Country $600 million annually. Varney also says LA country averages 40 illegal children in each and every classroom. Kelly asks how you tell a child we cannot help them because of what their illegal parents did? The always-straight talking Stuart Varney points out that there are many, children in this country, whose parents are here legally, who desperately need help. Exactly. What do you tell the children with legal parents, when we cannot afford to help them, and how do we explain that we would have another $600 million for their care (or other good uses) if it were not for illegal parents? That is the story always ignored by media.
In this article, the LA county supervisor says these figures also include children of illegals born in the U.S. and now a U.S. citizen. Hoopty-do, if their parents weren’t running up their own tab, there might be more available for the legal children, who should not be legal due to birth on U.S. soil anyway.
But…eyes are beginning to open:
“The problem is illegal immigration. … Their parents evidently immigrated here in order to get on social services,” Antonovich spokesman Tony Bell said. “We can no longer afford to be HMO to the world.”
And I will add to that, we, the taxpayers, cannot afford to bail you out of your irresponsible spending.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform reported:
…that the cost of illegal immigration stands at about $113 billion a year. Nearly half of that amount went toward education costs, according to the study. Costs were naturally higher in states with large illegal immigrant populations — in California, the total annual cost was pegged at $21.8 billion.

I am curious, your chart indicates 66% of all births are paid for by Medi-cal for illegal aliens in California.
We suffered some farming reversals several years ago had some Medical expenses beyond our means. We spent weeks in offices and had to bring Birth certs SS #’s and everything. We then received Cost sharing, with a $600 month deductible. We were very grateful to have the help.
