Only Nine Percent Believe Obama Will Be One of the Great Presidents

Remember the adoration? Remember the hypnotic state of Americans? Remember the hope for the “last best chance” for America? A new Fox News poll shows only nine percent of American Democrats believe Barack Obama will be “one of the country’s greatest presidents,” down from 30 percent in 2008. “Nine percent!” My, my. See a really embarrassing video below.

Obama's Long Shadow over the Oval Office

Nevertheless, Democrats believe he deserves another term. The ruination of our fiscal health, diminishing us in the eyes of the World and ham-fistedly powering-through ObamaCare isn’t enough.

Overall, 40 percent of voters approve and 51 percent disapprove of the job Obama is doing. While that is close to his previous rating of 41 percent approval and 50 percent disapproval in late October, the new ratings are his lowest to date.

Obama’s approval rating among Democrats stands at 75 percent, and 70 percent among self-identified liberals — both are record lows.

A Huffington Post columnist gushed this on October 8th, 2008:

Obama is one of the most intelligent presidential aspirants to ever step forward in American history. The likes of his intellectual capabilities have not been surpassed in public life since the Founding Fathers put pen to paper. His personal character is also solid gold. Take heart, America: we have the leader for our times…

I say this as someone happy to be called a fool for going out on a limb and declaring that, 1) Obama will win, and 2) he is going to be amongst the greatest of American presidents.

Obama is our last best chance. He’s worth laying it all on the line for.

This is a man who in the age of greed took the high road of community service. This is the good father and husband. This is the humble servant. This is the patient teacher. This is the scholar statesman. This is the man of deep Christian faith.

Intensely embarassing for New York Times best-selling author, and former Republican (that’s his claim) columnist Frank Schaeffer.

Among all voters, “Expections” for his greatness sits at 29 percent, falling from 43 percent one year ago.

About a third of voters (35 percent) think Obama deserves to be re-elected. A slim 53 percent majority says the country would be better off with someone else.

SusanAnne Hiller at Big Government headlined just before the November 2010 election with The Will of the People: America’s Last Best Hope. She isn’t talking about ACORN Americans. She’s talking about the Americans who pay their taxes, take care of their families without expecting government to do it, attend churches who worship The Almighty, not Liberation Theology, and who despise and reject Socialism in the core of their being – Americans who would never, ever accept Socialism.

I’m surprised as many as nine percent believe this goof-off president can leave behind a “great” legacy. If this video isn’t hilarious, I don’t know what is.

Obama is one of the Best presidents EVAH! (video)

  • If signs of greatness are incessant vacationing, golfing instead of working, and delegating the Presidency to an impeached predecessor, then Obama is assuredly one of the all-time greats.

  • All time best president? Yeah. But golf scores aren’t everything!
9% ? It would have been ten, but too many of them slipped back into their comas.

  • So there really are 9% of the population certifiable insane…..

  • In the topsy-turvy, reality deprived, alternative universe of the left. Obama is really only competing with Carter for the title of best ever!

  • I think about 9% also think they have been abducted by aliens.

  • I couldn’t even get half way through that video. Whoever made it is in fantasy land.
Maggie, hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy 2011.
