Obama Brilliant? Let Me Count How Not

I am fed-up with hearing Obama is brilliant. Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) is the most recent to opine about the “brilliant” Obama. “Engaging, smart and brilliant.”  Tell me after two years, how the man is brilliant?

Barack Obama. Brilliant?

Obama hasn’t had a single successful policy. He isn’t smart enough to create jobs with billions of taxpayer dollars at his disposal. He has shown exceptionally poor judgement in his choice of cabinet members, czars and advisors.

He has angered every foreign leader around the world but Hugo Chavez and the Castro boys.

He has been the cause of great distress to Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East.

He let, or perhaps pressured, his choice of Command for Afghanistan to fight the war with mostly good will and good-ol’ boy slaps on the back – living together, rebuilding, female Marines in hijab . How that happened, orchestrated by one tough son-of-a-gun, General Stanley McChrystal, no one is admitting – other than this:

U.S. soldiers had taken to deriding ISAF [International Security Assistance Force – coalition forces in support of Afghan troops] as short for “I Suck at Fighting” or “In Sandals and Flip-Flops.”) McChrystal banned alcohol on base, kicked out Burger King and other symbols of American excess…

Or maybe it was McChrystal’s dedication to making a honest broker out of Karzai. Maybe McChrystal took the rebuilding of Afghanistan too seriously, pulling troops back ever further and disallowing any action that might cause collateral damage,  before the fight was over, if it is ever to be over.

But when Obama heard that McChrystal made some not too flattering remarks about him and Joe Biden, he fired him. Until that time, Obama seemed not to care that our soldiers and marines were fighting with one arm tied. The White House was furious about the troop demand, and perhaps that incident eventually bent McChrystal.

For the choice of General David Petraeus to replace McChrystal, Obama was called “brilliant” more than once (see the video below), but he had no other choice. He had to name a replacement, and it had to be General David Petraeus. Too much was at stake, and…Barack Obama knew it. The man who Obama greatly opposed the Iraq surge, and languished and lollied before finally sending 30,000 of the 40,000 requested troops to Afghanistan, desperately need Petraeus.

A brilliant man fashioned health care for our nation after the failures of Britain, Cuba and Canada? No, a Marxist did that.

He won the presidency of the United States with the people knowing that his friend and former Weather Undergrounder Bill Ayers was not “just a guy in the neighborhood,” as he said, but shared his office for three years! How does that happen in America?

I’ll grant him this: he is smart enough to be a shyster – sly like a fox. I’ll  deem him brilliant for his presidential win, but that’s it. He hid who he is, where he’s from, what he’s done, and  everything about his college years. As president of the Harvard Law Review, Obama didn’t write a single paper with his signature. Beyond odd. There is nothing to identify him with this title that was ripe for Affirmative Action.

Media has insisted Obama’s IQ is exceptional, yet they haven’t a tad of hard evidence for that claim. We know Gore’s IQ. We know Bush’s IQ. We know nada about Obama.

Oops, another bit of brilliance:  We’ve heard Obama say a few times we have a moral deficit in America, an empathy deficit,  “an inability to understand that we are our brother’s keeper, our sister’s keeper.” Yet this president is allowing our Department of Justice to ignore White victims of civil rights abuse – purposefully, because for this president, his Attorney General Eric Holder and the Department of Justice, justice is not blind and there will be none for a White victim. It’s payback time. Perfect revenge for a shyster, a smart man who has an agenda and plans to pull it off, no matter what – sly like a fox, a charlatan and deceiver.

Really, I want to know how Barack Obama is brilliant in any admirable way?

  • He might have the brains cells, but they’re tortured and warped by his insecurities, bizarre upbringing, and bitter, vengeful agenda… not to mention lack of experience in managing anything. Carter has a high IQ too… so what, if you don’t have leadership abilities and pragmatic views based in reality, you’re sure to become an imbittered, lonely character who feels the world just doesn’t understand your genius.

And anybody who sees themself as some sort of victiom, and blames others for all their perceived problems and hangups of course just gets dumber and less effective by the day… there’s no personal growth in an attitude like that. How else to explain how race issues have handed him a life of luxury for almost ZERO actual work… and he still thinks he’s part of some oppressed group?

Delusional geniuses may have the natural intelligence, but come across as deranged/crazy… and in practical matters, dim as a TOC-H lamp lol

    • RR, he “might” have the brain cells, but then again, he might not. We have no way to know, other than the talking points of Liberal activists.

There is nothing in his past to indicate that he is close to brilliant. Nothing! He has no brain cell creds that can be verified.

He is all you said in the second paragraph.

I don’t buy the IQ story at. all. Off-prompter, he’s mediocre, humorless and prone to the dumbest gaffes. Significantly, there is ZERO spark of the creative or humorous side that typically accompanies higher intelligence. Moron can’t even pun. He reminds me of Tom Cruise attempting to play a genius character. Sorry, pal.

All this talk about “engaging, smart and brilliant” comes off rather like patronizing white lies. There is nothing “engaging” about an angry little man. There is nothing “smart” about repeating failed and discredited leftists tropes. There is nothing “brilliant” about a man who in his entire life has never had an original fricking thought. Nope – I ain’t buying.

    • Ran, the IQ story is like everything else about the man – manufactured. The commies groomed a dud, however, again, I’ll give him credit for trying, and seemingly never giving up on the long-planned agenda to bring this country to its knees.

  • When I was a law student I met a lot of paper-smart people, including professors, who harbored a lot of really bad ideas. Obama is another. For what it’s worth, my years as a heating and air conditioning installer taught me far more than all my years in formal education combined. You know, silly stuff like a hard work ethic, humility, and other things frowned upon in our academic institutions.

Obama’s biggest intellectual weakness is his inability to see how policies interrelate and/or work at cross-purposes. For example, advocating electric cars at the same time as policies to increase electric rates (cap-and-trade) is irrational. My utility prices just doubled! Let’s buy an electric car!

    • Country Thinker, excellent example about the electric cars and energy bills.

Obama is a rabble rouser. He spent his time on the streets with ACORN. When the Annenbergs hired him to work with Ayers and his Small School project and the Annenberg Challenge, he blew millions that never benefitted the schools the money was there for. It closed after massive failure. He’s done the same from the White House.

  • Obama has good speech writers, but that’s it. Without the Teleprompter-in-Chief he would still be just another Community Organizer trying to overthrow the US.

    • findalis, he just moved his community organizing office from the Senate wing to the Oval.
